If you see that as a positive - sure. Ignore the other things by all means though....
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

It's a positive for Iran, but it's a negative for the USA.

Bush? What's Bush got to do with anything? I mean even if you think he was the worst of foreign policy bumblers in modern times, how long will you progressives continue to use him as your scapegoat for the failed policies that your shinning beacon of light was supposed to fix today?

Remember 2007? Remember Obama talking to Europeans in Germany about how the Ocean's would recede, and the tensions of of the world would calm if he were to just win the WH, to cheers from you people? Hell, for a moment I even wanted to share a Coke with the world....

But then reality mugged him...And now all you have nearly immediately in your own damned thread on page 1 is to yet again blame Bush.....How weak can one be?

I realize that America's critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within its own borders. This is true. In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri -- where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So, yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. And like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity with the traditions that we hold dear.

But we welcome the scrutiny of the world -- because what you see in America is a country that has steadily worked to address our problems, to make our union more perfect, to bridge the divides that existed at the founding of this nation. America is not the same as it was 100 years ago, or 50 years ago, or even a decade ago. Because we fight for our ideals, and we are willing to criticize ourselves when we fall short. Because we hold our leaders accountable, and insist on a free press and independent judiciary. Because we address our differences in the open space of democracy -- with respect for the rule of law; with a place for people of every race and every religion; and with an unyielding belief in the ability of individual men and women to change their communities and their circumstances and their countries for the better. Read the article here: Obama leaves UN a changed statesman

The world has changed a lot in the last year and the USA and it's allies all over this planet have a lot of threats to deal with in the Middle East and in Europe and Africa.

The USA can't deal with all of those threats on its own, It will need the help of its allies.

    What do you think?
What exactly did he reshape? It looked like just a continuation of his world apology tour. He still pissed off at least half the US...if not more then half.

Where did anyone say that he reshaped anything?

Whatever happened to that Nobel Peace Prize?

He must use it as a door stop now.

There's nothing new or particularly unusual about the current global turbulence.

Exactly. Statistically the world is probably safer today than in the entire history of civilization. Deaths by war, murders, famine, and deaths in pandemics have been declining for decades now.
