Eric Holder To Step Down As Attorney General

He is good at ploys.... not much else but good at ploys.

I think he just sees the writing on the wall...that the republicans will probably take the Senate. He does not want to serve the last two years of "Hussein's" term with both the Senate and the House at his throat.

Bout damn time, but he should have been fired years ago, not allowed to resign.

I hope the next GOP AG will go after his arse like never before.

Tim-

Because President Obama FAILED to demand the early resignation of Eric Holder, even after repeated evidence of Obstruction of Justice, abuse of official power, and violations of the law...

Should Congress step in and deny President Obama, as a Co-Conspirator in Eric Holder's Crimes, any input on the nomination of the next AG, and have Congress select the next AG without any input from the Executive Office?

I couldn't think of a better ending to his last two year actually.

I wonder if the elites working in the White House and DC will ever be exposed to the little people enough to understand how tired citizens are of their political absurdity? Eric Holder has been an instrument of White House policy and action that has resulted some of the most polarizing actions across the nation since I would suggest, the Civil War.

The door can't close fast enough on this sell out, but I wonder what levels of crass absurdity the next AG will reach.

No matter who takes Holder's place or what that person does he or she will face the same attacks from the right that Holder has endured.

Don't take my word for this, just wait and see.

If he is as corrupt and biased as Holder, and uses the office as the legal muscle of the left those attacks will be earned.

I think I know why Holder is resigning....

Judical Watch sued in September 2012, seeking all documents DOJ and the White House are withholding from Congress under executive privilege claims. President Obama made the assertion on June 20, 2012 just moments before Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt. In July 2014, after two years of battling for information, Judge Bates ordered the Department of Justice to release the Vaughn Index by October 1. DOJ responded by asking for a month long delay in releasing the list with a deadline of November 3, just one day before the 2014-midterm elections. That request has been denied. A short delay was granted and DOJ must produce the Vaughn index by October 22.

So we are less than 4 weeks before the court ordered deadline on releasing the Fast and Furious papers the DOJ and the White House didn't want to turn over is reached and Holder steps down before the :hitsfan:?

I think you're onto the right path, but I believe that the investigation/information on the IRS coverup is also pointing straight at Eric Holder.

That is only because the new AG will be just as absurdly partisan as Holder has been, just wait and see.

This is a political stunt, though. Holder will stay on through the 2014 elections and if the Dems keep the Senate he will "reconsider" his choice.

A republican senate is going to make it much easier to find out what Holder did with the IRS, etc.

That would be very helpful on many fronts.

Besides Fast and Furious/IRS, thinking over the last six years of the crap that Holder has done from the case over the New Black Panthers, what he did to the state of Arizona over illegal immigrants, how he used race over trying to thwart voter ID, secret subpoenas going after members of the media that reported on this administration in an unfavorable light to most recently showing up in Ferguson last month as part of the lynch mob. The man is a political hack and one can only hope he pays for what he has done.

Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder took part in a five-day armed occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters as a freshman at Columbia University.

Charles Johnson and Ryan Girdusky reported this at The Daily Caller:

As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the university’s Black Students’ Organization as “armed,” The Daily Caller has learned.

Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed — and if so, with what sort of weapon.

Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), which demanded that the former ROTC office be renamed the “Malcolm X Lounge.” The change, the group insisted, was to be made “in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.”

as bad as holder is the next guy is only going to be more an ideologue

He will pay, Obama wont be able to protect him forever. Perhaps him and Lerner can be cell mates.

Why am I not surprised. For all the shrieking that Obama is a moderate or even a Republican , he sure managed to pack his administration with wide-eyed leftists.

Many of these appointments were made more for appointees's political points of view rather than for competence and honesty and Holder was the most glaring example of this corruption.

Very possible, Deval Patrick (Gov-MA) is heading down to DC today. He'd be as bad if not worse than Holder.

about damn time
almost as bad as alberto gonzales and i thought that was near impossible
Obama is a terrible judge of talent
Or maybe there was an agenda.
