    I kind of thought the same thing. The successor will never be confirmed, therefore he'll be on until 2017.

    And if he is replaced(as I fully expect him to be) by someone "cut from the same cloth", why would anyone expect anything less?

    Really? I thought Harry Reid paved the way for Obama appointments by applying the "nuclear option". Obama can't get 51 Senate votes by January 1st?
