to make sure materials "promote citizenship, patriotism, essentials and benefits of the free-market system, respect for authority and respect for individual rights" and don't "encourage or condone civil disorder, social strike or disregard of the law."

what is the problem here..can anyone explain?

    Mind full of mush.
Uh, Tyron G. Parks would be exactly right. Thanks for confirming that the right-wing has no business in education.

Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, don't blame someone else, or expect others to make a change, you should stop complaining and make a different choice. You gave an "argument" based on your opinion, nothing more.

It didn't make light (hahaha, lite) of the deaths of military patriots, it merely says that dying for country isn't inherently a "patriotic" act. Circumstance dictates the "patriotism".

You didn't seem capable of handling that statement. To which I say, grow up, get over it, move on.

The left wants schools to promote the actions they engage in when they don't like something. They don't want schools to teach kids it's wrong to disobey the law, destroy private property and engage in acts of violence when they partake in civil protest.

That's the only thing I can figure.

    LITE adjective \ˈlīt\
: diminished or lacking in substance or seriousness <lite news>; specifically : being an innocuous or unthreatening version —often used postpositively <it is film noir lite — James Greenberg>

And you... have just made it to be only the second person on this entire forum to ever be put on my ignore list.

    Can't deal with dissent, eh?

Well you are free to run away instead of making an argument and standing your ground. Have fun.

Also, it's making light of, not making lite of.

So, the American colonies just bowed down to George III and did his bidding without question... Just like Scotland and Ireland did. Just the way the French bowed to their king, and to this day go along with the program uncomplaining.

Read your history dude: apparently Tyrone G. Parks did.

promote citizenship, ......republican government promotes good citizenship.......our government ,its constitution is created on republican government.......article 4 section 4

patriotism...so Americans are not to feel proud to be an Americans?......

essentials and benefits of the free-market system........so we not to want a free market but a controlled market by government?

respect for authority........so no respect for the law, and the people who enforce it?

respect for individual rights" ....no respect for the individual rights of people...free speech. prayer, PROTEST!

and don't "encourage or condone civil disorder, ..who wants civil unrest, death destruction?

condone social strike disregard of the law.".....striking nothing wrong with it, but it should always be the course of last resort, ,because striking hurts anyone.

disregard of the law.....who says we should disregard law...
