Nothing like a good plague to thin out the herd.

I am still waiting for the next Black Death...some genormous disease that wipes out 1/4-1/3 of humanity.

You know...the type that makes people truly paranoid, turns communities on each other and pushes society to the limit.

Nothing like a real crisis to show people what they are really made of.

Such a childish behavior, don't you think? Like, if I don't see something, it doesn't exist.
Which is true, by the way, about most of the problems. People really believe that as far as they don't notice the problem, it won't influence them.

Did I say airborne? Perhaps they think it will continue to mutate into that sort of virus but, obviously they think it will become more virulent.

Ebola airborne: A nightmare that could happen - CNN.com

It's not that far out of the realm of possibility in the very near future.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
