Because we can't hold their hands forever. It was hoped if we didn't keep enabling them and being their crutch they might figure it's in their best interest to get their act together. Sadly I still don't think they get it. There new prime minister is chastising us for not being there sooner. WTF?

They never wanted us to leave, and have spent the last year watching ISIS make gains across their territory-beheading and crucifying as they do.
The entire time-Obama has ignored them and his own generals. Do you really not understand that?

Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

Wow, you people are so terminally isolated by your Political position its absurd.

In 2008 and 2012 millions of morons elected a Guy who had NO business even considering running for this Nations highest office.

Based on Political expediency ALONE he chose to bail on Iraq.

Who knows how many lives were lost nust because Obama wanted to perpetuate a desperate false narrative about a Bush Invasion by doing something that was inexplicably stupid.

All for Political points. Foreign policy for democrats is all about placating for votes.

Lives are lost ? So what. Lie about a stupid You tube video, blame Bush and make Political hay out of it

You people think of a vote as a way to get back at your ideological foes.

You don't give a second thought about the true consequences of electing a Leader based on platitudes and bumper sticker slogans.

You dont see it as a life or death decision but it is.

I can think of 4 Americans that would be alive today if a bunch of children trapped in the bodies of adults hadn't equated emtpy campaign slogans to Presidential qualifications and elected a JR SENATOR with NO QUALIFICATIONS.

So here we are again, holding their hands. Cleaning up after the mess of a incompetent who had NO clue what the hell he was doing.

I agree with this. Half-baked measures often get us in protracted messes. The first Gulf war with 500K troops and thousands of tanks was a clean and fast victory.
This said it is rather annoying that *we* need to always be the cleaners, risking our men and women in uniform. It would be lovely to have our strong Air Force and Navy doing the bombing, and some French and British and Australian and Canadian soldiers and whatnot (plus some regional players) do the boots-on-the-ground part.

That it would, I agree whole heartily. The problem is, like us, those countries do not want boots on the ground either. We will be lucky if they provide a few sorties. I think we will have to look locally for the troops which begs the questions, who and where are they? The Iraqi military has so far shown how worthless they are. The Kurds stand and fight, but will not move far from their homeland. There is only one other country in that area that would be happy to provide the troops while we bomb the heck out of ISIS and other terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. But those troops belong to someone whom we voted to dispose of. So where to from here.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Direct hit. Isn't it funny how when its time to start cleaning up the BS, Obama suddenly starts acting more like a conservative? But its a facade-he could care less about Iraq-UNLESS it hurts him or his party politically.

Obama lost the peace for politics, and now he's being forced to clean up the mess.

Now why should someone else have to clean up a mess made by the idiot before him?

Ever hear of the concept that one should take responsibility* for his/her own actions?

    * note to posters: it's well that known that this quite a large word for conservatives to compreheed, given their level of maturity, but one can always hope.

On that note, it's really the right wingers that voted for dumbya that need to get their asses suited up and ship off to Iraq and fight ISIS. Since they liked him so much, they should be all to happy to deal w/the world he created themselves while leaving the rest of us alone (including our pocketbooks).

Anyone got any ideas of how to get 'em on a boat? I'm thinking of giving a Sarah Palin lookalike a flute to whistle across the country and...

    * note to you: It sounds very much like you are calling everyone who voted for President Bush retarded. Manners, please.
