So the idea is that we were an occupying army that would stay there no matter what the democratically elected government of Iraqis wanted, a government Bush soooo praised?

Now you're contradicting Bush's talking points, and your own.

You have failed to present compelling causation. What specifically did Bush and Cheney do to cause the civil war in Syria? Last I checked Syria still has it's brutal dictator in place and that is, according the the new progressive narrative of Middle East doctrine, supposed to be the formula for stability.

Iraq was stable until the civil war in Syria spilled over its borders.

So again, what specifically did Bush and Cheney do in Syria?

I don't fault any President (Republican or Democrat) for trying to get us out of that f*** up region. This is the one thing I agree with Rand Paul on.
Where did you get the idea that the people of Iraq didn't want a democracy?

The number being produced for 2015 are 100. The Navy's budget was slashed severely. Even with the stockpile on hand they aren't going to last long. The Navy used 47 last night. At that rate according to your number, we have enough to last 74 1/2 days. Each missile costs over a million to produce and they don't just fly off the assembly line like boxes of Junior Mints.

They'll twist it as much as they have to.

Instead of figuring out how to fix this mess all these guys just wanna blame, blame, blame.

One of the central issues in the 2008 election was the Iraq war withdrawal and the fact of the matter is a decent few people didn't vote for McCain because he wanted to stay, when it was clear Bush and Obama supported the timetable for withdrawal.

This is all about scoring cheap political points over a pointless war that should have never happened in the first place.

    It's disgusting.

Bush invades Iraq under false pretenses. Chaos ensues. Iran - part of the Evil Empire Bush identifies -- becomes the dominate hegemon of the region, sparking armed sectarian conflicts between conflicting religious sects that had simmered under Saddam but were manageable. Syria gets pulled into the mess due to its close ties to Saddam and Iraq.

See, that isn't hard to follow.

You are repeating the Obama excuses, and lies, when any negotiations were easy and straightforward. Obama promised to pull the troops from Iraq, he had American electoral support to do that, and was determined to do that. He just did a little CYA later, but everyone expected a SOFA agreement to be signed and put in place. Biden called this withdrawal their 'greatest accomplishment' and certainly never mentioned Maliki.

I would have no problem with it.....as I didn't with NAM. I volunteered and was never drafted. Course now they have this issue about age. Moreover growing up here where I did. One thing is for certain. I was warring a long time before I ever joined Uncle Sam's Gang.

Another thing.....I would be in the thick of it up on the front.....if not behind enemy lines, and not hiding behind anyone else. Rangers Lead the Way. Sua Sponte.

That is false. Bush wanted another SOFA in place and expected it. Megyn Kelly just shared a 2007 George Bush Iraq speech, and it’s going VIRAL |
