U.S. Pushes Back Against Warnings That ISIS Plans to Enter From Mexico

You mean to tell me, you still haven't figured out why other World leaders are Openly laughing at and mocking BO and His Team. Calling them Weak and talking about Keystone Cops.
So now yer back to calling your CiC weak and referring to the administration as Keystone Cops.
Doubt if ISIL feels that way, as they desperately cut people's heads off after being bombed to Hell,
which you responded with by posting despicable cartoons on the beheadings.

Not to mention GOPs running ads on the beheadings.

And FOX shamelessly promoting interviews with those parents at commercial right now .

Very odd headline from the New York Times. The "U.S." is not pushing back against the warnings. Democrats are. And the first paragraph states that ISIS has travelled across the border as fact, with no attribution.

I suppose the NY Times does not want to appear in contrast with its beloved president and party, but obviously, their information contradicts what Democrats are saying.

Nevertheless, this is concerning to say the least.

Where is the evidence that the "warnings" are based in fact?

The Homeland Security Department, the F.B.I. and lawmakers who represent areas near the border are not always right or trustworthy, but they are not all Democrats and they have a lot more credibility than the far right extremists. The far right has been warning us about extremely exagerated or bogus nonsense such as "niggers seducing white women with jazz and reefer," the dangers of women voting, communists under every bed, a communist plot behind every movement for social change, terrorists in every Mosque and all illegal immigrants being dangerous criminals for so long that they have zero cedibility.

The only one here twisting facts from the beginning is you MMC .

Nimby, you do this all the time with any of the Rights positions.....then you get told to produce links and you come up with every excuse in the book to not bring a link. Then go off on another tangent. Oh and do note what the thread is about.

Currently there is phone ringing somewhere in a DHS office and apparently no one wants to answer it. Just sayin.

Nimby, you do this all the time with any of the Rights positions.....
Prove it MMC.
Anyone who has seen me post my positions on defense knows you lied about me in what you said.

Tell me where I am wrong about what I say about the right, since I almost always use rightie quotes.
I know you have trouble with rightie quotes--you have my sympathies .

Oh, you think I fall for ISIL's Propaganda all due to me posting up some articles that's put out with the News.
You appear to be taking it seriously, and that does seem like in this instance, you are falling for it. As rather obviously evidenced by your apparent acceptance of the rather absurd belief that, in the very same post, that ISIL is operating in Juarez.

Judicial Watch: Feds’ Bulletin Describes Threat of Imminent Terrorist Attack on Southern Border.....
Judicial Watch has just put out this statement:
You can't be serious.

JW made that statement on August 29th. It claims, based on unnamed sources, that terrorists were going to attack on the anniversary of 9/11 (they didn't), identified the groups as "ISIS and Al Qaeda" (the two groups split years ago and there is zero chance they will cooperate), and conflated this with the high crime rate in Juarez. The same press release simultaneously points out that the State Department repeatedly issues warnings to stay away from Juarez because of the crime rate, and claims the Obama administration tries to "cover up" the crime rate in Juarez. Which, by the way, is actually in another country.

So yes, JW is basically full of s***.

Then you cite FBI, DHS and counter terrorism Experts.
Actually, the NY Times and Fox News Latino cited them.

The same who all are all involved with his Foreign policy where he has been a failure.
Uh, no. Neither the FBI or DHS set, or are involved in, foreign policy.

there are already isis supporters in the US, they dont need to go through mexico.

The idea that Islamic State is going to invade via Mexico is ridiculous, as was the idea that Hezbollah or Hamas was going to do the same. It's scare-mongering, not a genuine cause for concern.

Yeah, ISIS invades the USA! What a notion!

All 35K ISIS soldiers will abandon their posts in the Syria and Iraq territories and will march towards the USA's border in order to invade it. The 35K soldiers shall cause havoc to USA's 300 million (mostly armed people) and will thus invade the entire USA territory eventually. This in front of other allies whom would not dare confront the 35K ISIS march through the southern border.

OH MY GOD!!! EVERYONE PANIC!!!

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. ISIL is a little too busy getting bombed right now to figure out how to send people to Nicaragua so they can sneak into Mexico so they can sneak into the US.

The reality is:

- No country can hermetically seal its borders. It's just not possible. E.g. Israel has one of the most effective military forces in the world, and the border with Gaza Strip has fences, sensors, cameras, you name it. Yet the Palestinians were still able to dig dozens of tunnels right under the fence, and when the time came, popped out and fired rockets at Israeli civilians.
- The last batch of terrorists who did major damage to the US just flew in, using tourist visas.
- There's a lot more domestic threat than people usually acknowledge or remember. The Boston Marathon bombers, Tim McVeigh, the Unabomber, and Weather Underground didn't need passports.
- Islamic State are adept at using social media. They're pushing your buttons... and you're letting them. Nice.

The "zomg ISIL is coming from the South!!!" is a bunch of BS that a few right-wing ideologues are seizing on for their own ends. Fretting over it is not going to make the US one iota safer.

Exactly. I illustrated the ridicule above.

Than why did the New York Times say so?

They do not believe that ISIS will invade. They claim that ISIS may cross the southern border. Heck, anyone can cross the southern or northern border! It is a big ass border!

I think they have two other ways to enter the United States that must be guarded against at ONCE.

1) They could enter America via the Moon.

2) They could enter America via the center of the Earth (digging right through the planet).

Message put out by Obama this coming Friday;

'American's MUST be vigilant and on guard at all times against these terrible people who will stop at nothing to destroy America's very way of life.

So we, your government, ask you to spend at least 1 hour every night looking straight up (preferably while outdoors or through a window) to guard against their attacking via the Moon.

And we also ask you to spend one hour every day with your ear directly to the ground and listen for their tunnelling machines.

If you see or hear anything, immediately call the Department of Homeland Paranoia - er - Security.'

Very odd headline from the New York Times. The "U.S." is not pushing back against the warnings. Democrats are. And the first paragraph states that ISIS has travelled across the border as fact, with no attribution.
Actually, there is attribution.
The very next sentence reveals the attribution:

As the Obama administration and the American public have focused their attention on ISIS in recent weeks, conservative groups and leading Republicans have issued stark warnings like those that ISIS and other extremists from Syria are planning to enter the country illegally from Mexico. But the Homeland Security Department, the F.B.I. and lawmakers who represent areas near the border say there is no truth to the warnings.

I hope that helped

Let me know if I can clear up anything else.

Not quite.....I appear to be the one that gets most of the story out and whats connected to it. That which you can't comprehend. Hence, all that panicking you were yelling about and then falling back into trying to think for another wherein that perception of reality comes into play.

Yes Judicial Watch and BO's own people and the others all show that it isn't ridiculous.....like you thought. Which that goes back to that Perception issue you have.

Yeah they did and you repeated them.

The FBI and DHS don't make foreign policy but they are involved in it. That's why you saw BO peep send them to Benghazi and to go look for the Girls taken by Boko Haram. Also the FBI deals with any Hostage situations under BO's Team.....as does DHS and anything related to the physical security of the country.

Than why did the New York Times say so?
The NYT did not say so.
The NYT said that "conservative groups and leading Republicans" said so.

As the Obama administration and the American public have focused their attention on ISIS in recent weeks, conservative groups and leading Republicans have issued stark warnings like those that ISIS and other extremists from Syria are planning to enter the country illegally from Mexico.

helping is what I do

There are more Muslims in Canada than Mexico and the Canadian border is basically unguarded for the most part.. so why not fear them coming in from Canada?

I think it's safe to say, "US borders are porous"

Erm. You see no distinction between DHS, FBI, and legislators who live on the border from "Democrats?" You do know that a lot of those legislators are Republican, right?

The idea that Islamic State is going to invade via Mexico is ridiculous, as was the idea that Hezbollah or Hamas was going to do the same. It's scare-mongering, not a genuine cause for concern.
Yep...no need for concern.

Terrorist_Map_of_the_US.jpg

Two major issues I have with this list that I believe should be pointed out.

First off, I'm curious when they say Al Qaeda, how many per group are they referring to? In the case of Boston, I'm assuming that they are just referring to those two guys that were responsible for the Marathon Bombing. If that is the case, that issue has been resolved. In fact, It's important to note that this list contains not just current groups, but "recent". And by recent, we mean they've already been caught and dealt with. And by the way, those two kids with the Marathon thing, didn't come from Mexico.

Second, Over half the list deals with organizations that as well as having a militant arm, also have a political wing as well; that being Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood. The people involved in these organizations, at least in the US, have never been connected with a terrorist attack on the mainland, and thus it's unfair to label them as "militant". There are many things that these organizations, namely bring light to the Arab side of the story in the Israeli conflict, which make no mistake, their are villains on both side. As long as they remain peaceful in the US, they have just as much right to protest and bring light to issues people in the West Bank and elsewhere face.

Well.....that will make it easier to hunt them down, huh? Can that guy Emerson validate those locations?

Emerson is a well-known Islamaphob.... I mean author on Islamic extremism. He's written like five books on the subject.

This came from his book in 2002.

American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us: Steven Emerson: 9780743234351: Amazon.com: Books

Steven Emerson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'd say he's an authority on Islamic terrorism.

One can only imagine what the status of said groups here in the US are now. I haven't seen too many being kicked out.

Well with what they show for Chicago......they sure don't make themselves to visible. As they know what will happen to them should they start opening their mouths and taking to the streets. At least here.....they wont last long.
