Girl, 11, told by school not to wear 9/11 T-shirt

The left and political correcctness going a muck. When will it end???

Girl, 11, told by school not to wear 9/11 T-shirt | Fox News

Published September 14, 2014

The stepdaughter of a U.S. veteran was told last week that she was not allowed to wear to school a T-shirt to honor the men and women who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

The kids wear uniforms. This isn't rocket science here. She can wear her t-shirt the rest of the day.

The school was right, Navy. They have uniform standards and can't even break them for 9/11 remembrances.

I am, however, confused by all of the posts claiming this is "Fox outrage" and all of that. I see no evidence of "outrage" or anything else coming from the Fox article. There is no opining on anything and no accusations similar to what Navy made in his OP (left and political correctness, etc.). Fox wasn't the only outlet to report on this story. Those of you attacking Navy by denigrating Fox are just as guilty as he is of making false claims.

It's just the usual gratuitous shot taken, for the sole reason it was on Fox. It would be just fine if the same report, word for word, was on MSLSD.

I bet they took great glee in making her change the shirt, under the guise of the dress code. If she wore a Che Guevara shirt, it probably would have taken them a bit longer to get to it.

Seriously?

I love this place. Man, you don't find good chuckles like this, even on Comedy Central.

Oh, I detected the sarcasm, but you didn't detect that he was taking a shot at vets under it all, and not in fun.

Oh please, I am taking a shot at the notion because her step dad was a vet then she must be allowed to wear whatever she wants.

The dummies enrolled her into a private school that have rules regarding school uniforms and then act shocked they can't alter the rules as they see fit.
They should have gotten off their butts months earlier and presented their request for 9-11 day attire. You don't wait to the day of 9-11 and acted as if you are being picked on.

BTW I am a vet too but I am not afflicted with the Vet's Tourette's Syndrome that some are and must let everyone know they are a vet every 5 minutes.

It won't end because progressives are sensitive to Islamic values - even values that show any US recognition or remembrance of the victims of 9/11 - because in the progressive world that attack as "justified" and any individual honoring those events really bends progressives the wrong way. Hence their objection to such a shirt worn by a child that wasn't even born when 9/11 happened.

You can bet your ass if this was some Islamic kid wearing a Tee shirt praising Allah the left wing politically correct administrators in that school would be as silent as a church mouse.

You can bet your ass that the radical left finds "Jihad" romantic.

None of the objectives that have been thrown at you have been about remembering 9/11. The Dress Code point, a valid one you must admit, would still apply in that case.

Yeah, the dress code probably didn't have anything to do with that.

Stop being a partisan hack.

Yeah dress codes - progressives love them...

Progressives have gone out of their way to destroy individuality.

And you call yourself a libertarian?

I support the right of private schooling institutions to lay out whatever curriculums, dress codes, standards, etc. they want. Do you? Since you'd like to bring libertarian purity into this conversation, on what planet do you consider controlling the actions of private schools to be libertarian?

FYI, nothing in that articles alludes that these were progressive democrats. For all you know they could be staunch christian conservative Republicans. But, by all means, continue trying to turn this into another opportunity for your hackery.

Are you serious? A dress code is more of a conservative feature like catholic school uniforms,

This is just MORE partisan hackery. It's the dress code. You don't like it? Too bad.

Another idiotic hack post. There is a dress code. It has nothing to do with 9/11, progressives or anything else. I understand that this is difficult for folks like you to understand, but it is good that you made the post. It's an example of just how incapable of understanding rules that folks on the extreme right, like you, are.

And yet, NP, you have STILL refused to show any integrity in this thread. It was about the dress code, nothing else. All your suppositions are meaningless, and all your claims are inaccurate. Once again I challenge you to show some integrity and admit you are wrong.

This just continues to demonstrate your complete inability to understand this issue. The dress code is in place and that's why the shirt was not allowed. I find it interesting that you claim to be a libertarian, yet you refuse to take responsibility for being wrong. I guess in YOUR version of libertarianism, personal responsibility does not exist.

You ever wonder if the light stays on in the refrigerator after you shut the door?

How would you look without an ass?

You'd have to carry your own burdens.

There was a young maid from Madrass,
Who had a magnificent ass,
Not rounded and pink,
As you probably think,
But grey, had long ears, and ate grass.

People on the right are not into political correctness my left wing friend........we cherish 9/11tshirts.

So you would rather teach a student to not obey the rules and disrespect authority, huh? Sorry Navy, that's awfully left-wing of you.

Dude, she goes to a school with a dress code uniform!

The school does not have to oblige. I work at a school with a uniform and there are no exceptions and it has NOTHING to do with the Left.

Just more evidence that Fox's main intent is to foster angry mobs.

Hey, I'm trying to help the guy out, he's getting hammered here. It is definitely plausible.

No it isn't. Never try to help out someone who posts like a hack. Makes you look like one, too.

It isn't plausible that they were glad to do it? So, you think it is impossible? Now, that's not even plausible, because it is totally possible, and not just a smidgen.
