    I thought about that.

But I don't give a **** if there was or not. I don't let the color of someones skin influence my vote at the polls.

But I'm wondering if Jimmy Carter is mulatto.

    Very good point Monte.

If you want a different result, don't blame someone else, or expect others to make a change, you should stop complaining and make a different choice. What a right wing partisan you are. Perhaps a racist as well.

Had to work on the stand-by generator today, and I twisted my flippin' bad knee (well, they're both bad, but the worst one is the one I twisted). I forget sometimes and try to act like I'm still 20 without all these busted parts. Took a 800mg Ibuprofen and an Oxycodone... not getting much sleep right now, so I turned this 'puter back on thought I'd come bother you folks a while.

    Discussion?

    Article is here.

Sanders said that he has "a lot of disagreements" with Obama, adding: "I think he has not tapped the anger and the frustration that the American people feel on many, many issues."
In the weird Oz-like land of politics this is to Obama what the south did to Fort Sumpter....

If he were a Democrat it would be the equivalent of internal warfare at this juncture, with the mid terms looming. He shows great craftiness at least in taking the shot now, getting the attention of all dissatisfied liberals.

It also sets the stage as something of a call out to Clinton, he's addressed, in general terms, what is the issue this November, Obama's record. He's even going to Iowa to "get a sense of how people feel about it" in other words begin building a machine.

Americans are looking for a straight shooter who will take on the special interests
We should find out in a few months what America is actually looking for.

Sorry...Sanders is simply a myopic liberal hack. He doesnt want to stop excessive campaign contributions and involvement, he wants to stop republican donors. He isnt opposed to bankers and brokers and special interest groups...he is just opposed to the ones that support GOP causes. He is no different than all the rich democrats living in their mansions separated from the masses and bemoaning all the 'little people' and how unfair the world is for them.

That being said...I TRULY hope he does run. It should make for an interesting primary to see which one of their own the democrats start eating because they represent a threat to the party choice. I can see a rerun of 1992. Run Jesse Run!!!

I respect Sanders for being honest about what he is politically. I wish others would be as honest in DC.

That said, I don't see him going anywhere. It reminds me of Ron Paul's campaign. It'll generate excitement. Young people will probably support him. But in the end, he won't get the Democratic support. He can't deliver on states they need. He'll deliver Vermont but the Dem can count on that state anyway. But it sure throws a wrench in things.
