New Michael Brown shooting witnesses describe scene - CNN.com

Two men, shocked at what they saw, describe an unarmed teenager with his hands up in the air as he's gunned down by a police officer.

Why does this make more sense to me than "dude was a dip**** idiot who decided to bumrush someone pointing a deadly weapon at him, after he had already decided to flee in terror"

In that same video, the witness at the end of the video gave a completely conflicting account, stating that he in fact WAS facing the officer, and did NOT have his hands up in the air.

Rather difficult to gauge any of the facts still.

Or maybe they decided to make up stuff to try and get the cop charged and arrested, or to get on TV, or to become folk heroes? Why come out now and not before? Who knows? Maybe they're telling the truth - maybe they aren't. As for why it makes more sense to you, should be obvious.

I don't trust a damn thing coming out about "new witness". I'll simply wait for the court case....

I agree. This sounds true and really incriminates Wilson. The cellphone video is especially damning. I'm ex-Whidbey and partied in Mt Vernon many moons ago (50 years).
Dood...even by the two new 'eyewitness accounts', he wasnt 'fleeing in terror'. In fact, according to their comments he was giving up, which FAR MORE supports the account of him engaging the officer in his car, being shot and attempting to run away, and then thought better of it stating "ok, ok, ok". That doesnt at all sound like 'fleeing in terror, does it?

No one knows what really happened. This one news clip shows just why the facts are so hard to be clear on. Figuring it out is hard enough. Learning the ACTUAL truth is damn near impossible when so many people are so set on projecting their own personal bias onto the incident.

It's easier to believe that people are EVIL and mean - not so stupid they kill their own selves as a result.

It's called denial. It's understandable though - everyone wants to believe that people are good all the time and never do anything dumb or thoughtless - like walk in front of a race car, angrily confronting that race car driver - while the race is going on at speeds over 150 mph. Only to get hit and killed.

You don't want to accept that someone was stupid enough to try to beat a cop to death and then was shot for it while he went to attack him again. It's called suicide by cop.

You don't want to accept it - but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. People can be violent, stupid, selfish ****s.

Yeah, these. I got tired of people pushing narratives instead of waiting for facts. Right now I trust nothing any one says about this case and will simply wait and hope the investigation is done properly.

This. Gets. Super-rare. Luftwaffe like.

I dont think it is a matter of 'trust'. Everyone see's 'something'. How their brain interprets it is often radically different.

one of these days, we will hopefully know the real story

i have to question why new witnesses would wait this long to want to tell their story though....

with as much media as this case has gotten, and all the agencies asking anyone with information to come forward, why wait till now?

dunno....i will wait till all the facts are in.....

maybe the cop did shoot out of fear.....maybe not

maybe the kid was surrendering....maybe not

it would be easy if we had a video like the ray rice case.....everyone can see there what happened

this one, we have some witnesses saying this, and some saying that

maybe the grand jury will figure it all out......but i wonder if that is really possible with all the conflicting stuff

Yep. For all I know, the cop could have notches carved in his pistol grip...or the kid could have been the total aggressor. Lou Reed said it best in situations like this..."Don't believe half of what you see and none of what you hear"

They were clearly describing a murder scene.

Look how the right-wing nuts are already coming out of the woodwork! They will back this cop no matter what the evidence shows.

:lamo

Because you dont like his opinion, you have turned Redress into a "right-wing nut". :lamo

Did you watch the video? How do you reconcile the comments of the first 'eyewitness with the comments of the other eyewitness at the end of the video and the FACT that their 'eyewitness accounts' are in every way shape and form, diametrically opposed?

I understand that 95 percent of liberals don't give a rip about what the actual facts are, but can we not just wait for this to play out?

I understand that 95% of conservatives cheer whenever a black man is gunned down by cops....

But I agree with the last part. We'll have to see what accounts are provided under oath, backed by what evidence, etc.

That's what your brainwashers tell you, but that couldn't be further from the truth. We feel helpless to free black Americans from their oppressive liberal captors, who lead them around by the nose with free money and built-in excuses.

I counter what your brainwashers say with what our brainwashers say!

I wasn't being serious - just mocking the ridiculous notion that 95% of liberals are uninterested in facts, which is just as accurate as my statement.

Look how the right-wing nuts are already coming out of the woodwork! They will back this cop no matter what the evidence shows.

And the left wing idiots are already out. They will attack the cop no matter what the evidence shows.

Why does this make just as much sense to me?:

Michael Brown was a violent thug who had already decided to assault a police officer in his car and then had already decided to walk insolently away. Then when the officer told him to stop Brown decided to mockingly put his hands over his head before deciding to move threateningly toward the officer, just as he had decided to move threateningly toward the convenience store clerk who he had decided to rob and assault a few minutes earlier.

‘A dozen witnesses’ say Ferguson teen attacked cop before shooting | New York Post

Multiple witnesses in riot-torn Ferguson, Mo., said that the unarmed black teen killed by a white cop attacked the officer in his patrol car before the teen was shot, according to a new report.

“Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop’s version of events in shooting,” St. Louis Post-Dispatch crime reporter Christine Byers tweeted, without elaborating.

Darren Wilson is 100% innocent.

The fact that there were numerous witnesses and apparently differing accounts is exactly why it is a good thing that a Grand Jury is looking into the matter. Such an examination is crucial to understanding what took place and then deciding afterward whether or not criminal charges should be filed.

At this point the only sensible thing to do is wait for the grand jury to do its thing. When it's complete, we'll hear more about why they decided to file charges or not.

I am not saying they will be correct to file them, or correct to not file them, but when we know the facts and the evidence and what the grand jury / DA decides to do going forward, then we can evaluate if they made the right call or not.

At this point, the public statements from those who claim to be witnesses contradict each other too much for there to be any clarity.
