And I said nothing about today, put away the six guns, you'd be nuked by Russia if you tried.

The FACT as stated is truth. The United States invaded Canada by attacking the citadel at Quebec City in 1776, the forces were repelled with large losses. The expeditionary force attempted to escape by building boats out of green wood which sank in the St. Laurence river.

In 1812 the Americans tried to seize lake Erie and were driven into safe harbor in Ohio where they remained for the duration of the war.

That same year a force of Americans attempting to capture the Niagara peninsula was discovered by a young farm girl named Laura Secord who led her cattle through American lines and warned a force of Huron and Canadian settlers led by a British colonel who drove the Americans into Lake Erie.

    You were beat.

We also own your ass in hockey and Cubans are better at baseball.
The battle of Quebec was in 1775 no? Because last time I checked, the USA came into existence in 1776 ;P

Bay of Pigs was hardly a US invasion, US troops didn't even fight.

You beat America once, be proud of it, but don't overstep your boundaries.

You are free to draw whatever conclusions/ideas you like. I stated a factual anecdote, someone got mad and started ranting about "if it happened today you'd be toast"...

which is idiocy enough for one day...

And now those Cuban bastards are sending 165 health professionals to help with the Ebola breakout. Will there be no end to their defiant acts. I bet each one will convert 3 people to communism while they are there. And those 3 people will convert 3 people, until the whole world is communist...with socialized medicine. Damn you Castro and your sneaky plans to rule the world.

The above is just the norm , Cuban Medical Internationalism is amazing for a small and poor country imo

"Cuba has 42,000 workers in international collaborations in 103 different countries, of whom more than 30,000 are health personnel, including no fewer than 19,000 physicians."[2] Cuba provides more medical personnel to the developing world than all the G8 countries combined,[2] although this comparison does not take into account G8 development aid spent on developing world healthcare.

The fact that Havana is so desperate to end the embargo is a sign that it works. We should not end the embargo and instead should continue to use it as a lever for forcing the democratization and liberalization of that authoritarian island.

So if that were the case how come there are no US embargos on Saudi Arabia , Qatar , Kuwait etc etc ?

I don't get it. I know Fidel was considered a bastard, though I kinda admired him. Cuba is the perfect investment and vacation spot. Great beaches, great casino opportunities, and beautiful women...

At this rate, in 50 years, they'll be full fledged democratic socialists. Good strategy.
