The fact is...there is only so much he CAN do. Frankly...his mouth has been writing checks his office cant cash. He can do a lot with Executive Orders...but he CANNOT usurp law. Immigration law is what it is.

Actually Obama's last two years in office may destroy the democrat party's chances in 2016 along with Obamacare.

The absolute best thing that can happen to Obama and the Congress is for the GOP to take the Senate this year and then go absolutely bonkers with every crackpot extremist right wing wet dream being enacted into passed bills that Obama can stand proudly before the nation and loudly VETO proclaiming himself as the last line of rational defense against dangerous extremists.

I nearly fell off my chair laughing at that one. For one, the republican establishment politicians is mostly moderate. They are more afraid of the lamestream media and centrists then they are of their core conservative base. For two, it was the democrats after Obama's election who dusted off every extreme left wing crack pot idea and attempted to put it to a vote and even passed some of it. That is why they are in serious trouble heading into the midterms with the 1200 lb gortilla (obamacare) on their backs.

You could not ask for a better formula for Democratic success in 2016.

The problem for democrats is that Obama is destroying them. He has already lost them control of the house of reps and may lose them control of the senate in November. The only reason he even cares about democrats in congress at this point in time is that he does not want to face a GOP controlled house and senate in his last two years. After the midterms he will be thinking about nothing but his legacy. The democrats will not speak out because they do not want to be seen as dissing the first African American president.

He tossed dems in congress aside like rag dolls, doing things that hurt them in their home districts-its no wonder he gets less support-and at the same time he does not change his strategy. I just watched an interview today from nbc, his self assessment is that he's doing great.

Obama has finally decided to Lick the GOP up front and Poke them in the rear.
And it only took O-Bam-Bam 6 years to lower the Boom-Boom.
They are less likely to vote in the mid terms and Obama wants to keep it low key until after the election. This allows his to maximize his own personal political gain while still forcing an unpopular bill on people.

The GOP would lose a lot of their members. Neoconservatives going back home after being under the GOP tent for almost forty years.

The Democrat Party needs to clean house. But as long as Democrat voters remain uninformed or misinformed, why clean the house ?

The democrat party are just a series of special interest groups-unions, identity politics groups etc. Frankly, Im surprised the dems have juggled those divergent interests for as long as they have.

Except it's up to Congress to fund the Government not Obama. Here's the way I see it happening. Congress will fund it till after the election. They know if they play their games or if they shut it down again they will lose. People are getting really tired of all branches and the silly games they play. Time to fire the non-producers.

I am NOT defending Obama - he screwed up enough and I will not defend him. I am simply stating that if the GOP gains control of both houses of Congress in this election- that the more extreme faction of the party will not be able to restrain themselves and every right wing wet dream piece of legislation tht can be dreamt up will be introduced and lots of it stands a good chance of passage. That could set up a great situation where Obama becomes the champion of the American middle class and vetoes the hell out of the extremist legislation.

This then sets up a sweeping Dem victory in 2016 as the nation has had a bellyful of GOP extremism. Believe me - some Republicans telling the world that she is not a witch will seem like childs play by the time this is finished.

You are 100% wrong on both counts and it amazes me how somebody like you and I do not even live on the same planet let alone in the same country. The GOP establishment will do every single thing they need to do to suck up to the radical right wing to keep it all together and use their temporary majority to pass their wish list of extremist nonsense. this will happen as sure as the sun sets in the west.

Second, please provide the list of left wing crack pot ideas that you claim were put to a vote in the early years of Obama when they had the big majority. I want to see it because lots of dems feel betrayed that those two years were badly wasted and we saw no real effort to do anything approaching the FDR 100 days.

So lets see that list to prove your claim.
