Hard to say but if Obama wants to make that political theater than we will find out. The dems dont have much to run on, a scheme like that while desparate may be all they have.

The argument presented was that Republicans in the House hadn't demonstrated a willingness to meet in the middle on legislation. I like how your only possible response to an example of them doing so is to argue that we shouldn't be talking about it

Unless somebody has 60 votes - there really is no Senate that you have to lose.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I like how A) you didn't read the polling presented B) only read the headline and C) had to ignore three of the four options I gave you in order to come back with that snarky response.

Immigration Enforcement is actually a GOP benefit issue. It's also a great way for them to drive a wedge into Democrats - who now are in the interesting position of arguing that A) we should increase low-skill workers wages and B) we should also import large numbers of low-skill workers, thereby increasing their supply. Good luck squaring that circle.

Gosh. If only there was some kind of series of parliamentary tricks that a preceding Senate Majority Leader has set a precedent for.....

Not really, it isn't drawing a larger share of the fast growing population demographic, Hispanics (who are growing primarily from US births and at a rate that is going to increase). All it is doing is holding on to the old White vote....which is a declining share.

No, Haymarket. You're not just a victim of irrational vengeance. You said something inexcusable, ethically. I called you on it. As I noted, I'm waiting for ANYONE to support your disgusting position of "do unto them as they do unto you". No one has supported it, no one will support it, because it's grotesque and anyone presenting such a position ought be ashamed of themselves.
