Cuban intelligence agencies recruit leftist professors

Those facts don't support the claim that the Cubans killed Kennedy. Nobody has questioned that Oswald was trying to defect to Cuba (except apdst, who isn't privy to 50 year old info). Nobody questions that Oswald was a supporter of communism. What is being contested is that any of the aforementioned facts mean that a foreign power is responsible for the death of JFK.

If the conclusion is stated as a fact and the facts used to arrive at that conclusion aren't relevant, then the premises are the incorrect ones to use and whether they are false or not is irrelevant. This is pretty basic debating. In short, what apdst is doing is something like this:

Premise 1:Dinosaurs are animals.
Premise 2: Dogs are animals.
Conclusion: Dinosaurs and dogs are the same thing because they're both animals.

Non-sequiturs are a terrible way to argue.

Correct. apdst committed the non-sequitur logical fallacy. And now Toby is defending the non-sequitur.

I don't think the Cubans did it. Maybe the Russians or the mob. Or the joos.

The mob (RFK was cracking down harcore) or the Russians are much more plausible scenarios than the friggin' Cubans.

Apparently you don't. You posted that the Cubans had Kennedy assassinated and tried to pass that off as fact... and failed miserably.

At least I didn't post fiction, right?

Notice how you are avoiding the issue. You claimed that the Cubans had Kennedy killed. Definitively. In the above post, Hatuey challenges this. What do you focus on? A minor point since you are too dishonest to actually address his confrontation. This is not surprising as you are doing the exact same thing to me.

Let ot go, dude. We all know you would bitch if I said water is wet. You look very, very petty right now.

The ME is a recent harangue.. The American left has always been complaining about their countries 'destructive policies' whether they be international or domestic. Just watch for yourself.

Depending on the times, who's in office, and what problems are being addressed domestically and foreign, we might hear one or the other political persuasion dissenting the loudest. That's strange that you think that that only happens on the left.

It's not that it only happens on the left, or the right, but rather that the pendulum swings, and right now? Yes it is the left....Later in history it may well be the right, but does that mean we should ignore the here and now? I don't think so.

I don't use the term "hate" but, in any case, the 'right' or the 'middle' certainly doesn't hate their country as much as the left. In any confrontation the left will side with the opposition, no matter who it is, or how revolting their policies. America will never be good enough to suit them as no other opinions or political positions are acceptable.

That's just total partisan crap Grant. And it's more libertarians that are opposed to the branches of US foreign policy that involve intrigue, manipulation, hostilities, regime changes, CIA interferences and the like, then it is the left. And to a lesser extent, true independents like myself with no party loyalty.

I see spying for our enemies as anti american, call me crazy if you like but...

I can think of plenty of other things that are anti-American.

In 1982, the State Department put Cuba on its list of terrorist-sponsoring nations because it was sending military support to ideologically like-minded people in Latin America and Africa. Sending your military abroad to further your nation's objectives is terrorism. Unless we're doing it. Then it's called foreign policy. Those right-wing death squads we sponsored in Central America that killed hundreds of thousands of people, they weren't terrorists. They were freedom fighters.

I was responding to Grant's assertion that dissent is "always" from the left.

See any conflict here?

There is no real need for the left to spy on Cuba, which makes this idea preposterous. These leftists in academia already hate America, have supported communism all their lives, and think Fidel Castro is a hero. What more could they want?

You may be right. All we know for certain is that they complain about everything America does but never offer an alternative. It should go without saying that these people are not the best America has to offer but that's true of leftists in any country.

What complete and total partisan trash. There are good and bad people in all persuasions. And generally all Americans, left, right, or center, wherever people may be politically or in faith or ideology, they want America to be good, strong, even better. There can be at times stark differences of what that is and how to arrive there but your insistence that one side both "never" and "always" do or don't do anything, PROVES your blind, bias, partisan and hateful attitude.

You look completely dishonest right now... which is not surprising. And the problem is, you'd continue to claim that water ISN'T wet even after it was proven to you that it was.
