Monte has accused me of being 'pro American' and he's right. Not only does the rest of the world need America's leadership but it is an experiment to see if people from all areas of the world, with often directly contrary beliefs, can live together in relative harmony. America is the testing ground for this experiment and I hope it succeeds because, trite as it may seem, world security depends on it.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

Two, a leftist is what your president is as his policies are almost identical to those of Canada's self described "socialist" New Democratic Party, right down to the age old stupidity of "higher minimum wage" which Americans still buy into. For the the record, and I am getting very tired of the lugubriously stupid assumption that I am a "leftist" simply because I do not see Cuba, where I vacation, as a a barbarian enemy at the gate about to destroy the fabric of the "American way of life".
For the twentieth time this week, I am a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, and even though I can still vote in the US, I would not waste the time on a populist/socialist like Obama.
