Well the Kurds and tribal folks will protect you with their lives - especially the tribes. For some unknown reason Islamic extremists don't mess with the tribal folk, and the tribal folk are pro-democracy and pro-West. So it is relatively safe if you're with them (or the Kurds), however wondering off on your own looking for a story is a horrible idea.

The Islamic extremists are deathly afraid of the PKK because they have a large number of hardened female fighters. ISIS in particular is deathly afraid of these women fighters because they believe that being killed by a woman keeps them from entering heaven.

That is why we should be dropping leaflets like this on ISIS positions:

Bergdahl deserted the military and was celebrated by Obama in the Rose Garden.. You've made my case.
And you think that if Bergdahl hadn't 'deserted' (and by the way, he has not been charged with desertion - as a former legal officer - one of my many collateral duties in the service - I can tell you that in order to be guilty of desertion, it has to be established that there was no intention to return. Otherwise it is AWOL), Obama wouldn't have tried to get him back? What proof do you have of that?

Bergdahl isn't my flavor of the month as an American soldier, but he was an American soldier held by the enemy. And Obama got him back.

PS I can also tell you that, given my knowledge of the UCMJ, getting a conviction for desertion on Bergdahl would be next to impossible.

So far we only know that he 'wandered off his post", a fellow soldier was killed looking for him, Obama illegally traded five terrorists for his return, feted him in the Rose Garden, but ignored his fellow marines who had been searching for him. BHO's attitude on the military was also evident on his response to Benghazi.

Actually he didn't 'fete' him. He had his parents there - who, incidentally, Bergdahl has refused to meet with since his return.

How was Obama's attitude towards the military evident in his 'response' to Benghazi?

You have evidence that Bergdahl refused an invite from the Obama? And Bergdahls parents just happened to be in the Rose Garden at the time with their sons name never being mentioned?

If you don't know then you can investigate and the discuss it on the appropriate thread.
