Obama under fire for admitting no 'strategy yet' for ISIS in Syria [W:446]

Note the Church Committees report and subsequent whistle blowers up to and including Edward Snowden, and the NSA has been engaged in one form of extra constitutional domestic spying or another for 40 years, and no party has reigned them in. And there's no end to the similitude of policies between the parties and from one administration to the next. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

You're right on with all of that. There's a reason for all of it, too. Instead of a royal family, america has their corporate darlings who are funding campaigns. Some of the donors come from families who have been funding campaigns since the industrial revolution. The other arm is the lobbyists who manipulate congress and public opinion, which I'm sure is fairly easy. These outside influences make it impossible for any person to come to Washington and make meaningful change. You have to be very, very adept at politics and already have a lot of power and allies to step into the White House and overcome the challenge of competing with the machinery. I think that Clinton was the most successful, but as you pointed out, the troubling trends all continued and major policies went completely unchanged.

It's not Democrats vs. Republicans, it's Bureaucrats vs. Capitalists, and the real debate is how each side can make a lot of money.

You are clueless. You are even including embassy level? You think we are causing terrorism by not acting as isolationists? You eventually need to learn what motivates fanatical Islamic terrorists. It is not US moves in the middle east. And what Russia and China say about it is not relevant as they have political motives of their own. Actually there are very few that did not see the writing on the wall. The progressives telegraphed their plan to pull the US out of Iraq, regardless of conditions, even before Obama took office. (Does the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize ring a bell.) The Obama Administration has made it clear to the world that they planned to pull out of the Middle East and that they would not put boots on the ground to defend Iraq in the future.

The leaders of ISIS knew they just needed to sit back, build their infrastructure, plan the acquisition of all of the equipment Obama left behind in there rush to withdraw, and advance before a new US Administration took office. They're efforts were helped along by the failed foreign policy initiatives of the elitist progressives that guide Obama.

Nice start. I should point out to the willfully blind that Andrew McCarthy, the former federal prosecutor, has written a whole book categorizing and detailing Mr. Obama's violations of the Constitution and the public trust. I think the title is "The Case for Impeachment."

Obviously the threat of ISIS and the middle east is SOOOOO GREAT the GOP leadership went on vacation instead.

I don't remember posting anything about Tom Cole, so I'm not sure why you think this one guy's opinion should be so cherished. I don't know if he's a conservative, a RINO, or somewhere in between. I don't often get up in the morning and check to see what Tom Cole said. Okay, I've never done that. You seem to think you've dropped some kind of bombshell here. At least that's pretty funny.

I complain when a President, any President, blatantly stomps on my Constitutional protections time after time. Don't know of anyone that's done it like Obama has. BTW, when he diminishes mine, he diminishes yours.

Whether the guy has a strategy or not, how stupid is it to just announce that to the world? There is no need to give our enemies information that the would literally kill for.

so where is congress in all of this? Oh yeah, on vacation. What better plan is the GOP offering? NOTHING. Apparently Vacation is more important for congress.

You know with such a incompetent president, you would think the GOP would be working to put plans before the president to SAVE this nation. One problem, vacation is more important for them.

But the leftists didn't believe Romney, thought he was just scaring the people, and they voted for Obama. Now many thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions, might die. They are just not very bright, and a pox on every democracy.

There is no need to give our enemies information that the New York Times did--unmanned and manned flights over Syria.

There is no need to give Republicans that have proven untrustworthy any intel with plans.

All they have done in the past is run to FOX and slam Obama in front of the world,
give aid and comfort to our enemies and give away our intel and plans while slamming the President.

GOP Congressman Tom Cole--OK has lauded the President for "commendable caution" and sees no problem with his comment.
Those are his words, not mine .
