Obama under fire for admitting no 'strategy yet' for ISIS in Syria [W:446]

Who knew that playing golf was preferable to actually gathering the cabinet and solving something?

If the strategy is to ensure that America is no longer seen as the lone super power, and project weakness, bravo.

Re: Obama has no strategy yet for dealing with ISIS.

We did not create them. Nor did we create the power vacuum in Syria.

Obama to ISIS: You Didn't Build That
(Here's the proof...)

Do you have any evidence that BHO is thinking or planning anything?

Since you asked... No, I don't think BHO thinks or plans anything until his progressive handlers program his teleprompter and tell him what to think and say. ;)

or maybe the situation in syria is a complex and fluid situation, and the president is acknowledging the politics of the situation complicate getting involved in syria.

Re: Obama has no strategy yet for dealing with ISIS.

There has been covert US support in Syria from the beginning. Had the US and other regional states not injected themselves, president Assad would have put the insurrection down early on, there wouldn't be 160,000 dead civilians and IS wouldn't have found the blossoming room that they did. And further, IS got its start in Iraq, another place that the US created a power vacuum in, so they WOULD still exist, but not likely as powerful as they are at present.

What? Continuing with the assertions but no link again?

I'd like to see him have his teleprompter back so he can develop a strategy. It seemed that when he had the teleprompter in front of him he really had all the answers.

Do you have any evidence that BHO is thinking or planning anything? Or is this just your hope?

If you choose to believe that the U.S. government isn't aware of the situation and is not formulation a strategy to deal with this, that is your choice. I think Obama did the best thing possible. If he had proposed plan, the right would criticize it and ISIS would know more than they do now.

There is no situation anywhere that cannot be made more complicated. Obama is in that process.

No, it's my only option.
I think Obama did the best thing possible.
I'm beginning to agree with you. His not having any strategy may actually may make the world a safer place, if any adults are willing to step in and take up the slack.
If he had proposed plan, the right would criticize it and ISIS would know more than they do now.
Yes, he must always remain fearful of how the right may respond, and ISIS must never get wise to Obama's plan. I get it.

Re: Obama has no strategy yet for dealing with ISIS.

maybe thats why your criticism is devoid of realistic goals.

But it's not up to me to have realistic goals. That's up to our leaders, and that's how we should be judging them.

I'm certainly not in a position to lead any military anywhere but, if I were, ISIS would be trembling in their sandals.

or maybe the cumulative effects of this Administration's foreign policy failures are being demonstrated.

Of course the situation in the Middle East is complex and fluid. Always has been and always will be. Goes with the job.

The President of the United States never has the luxury of claiming such a lame excuse.

The problem with your conjecture is that the right answers don't fit with the political priorities of this administration.

Re: Obama has no strategy yet for dealing with ISIS.

Another conservative counting his chickenhawks before they hatch- :lamo
I've never made a prediction like that until Election eve, and I'm the reigning 2-time Senate champ from Politico. ;)

Try this latest poll:

RealClearPolitics - Election 2014 - Arkansas Senate - Cotton vs. Pryor

Cotton wanted to bomb Syria with McCain, Obama, et al.
Cotton is also running to the left of Pryor on social security.

The companion governor's poll shows DEM Ross with a +2 lead for the first time ever.
These are the first Arkansas polls in over three weeks .

So one change in one race means something? Look at the overall trends here-VERY unpopular president, ****ty economy, people tired of democrat policy, and a world on fire. This would be bad for ANY Party in the mid terms, and its especially so here.

Our President would sacrifice our safety for his personal political benefit any day of the week. Whats happening now, its his liberal naivety of the world is being well "soiled" by reality.

I disagree. It is up to you. And it's up to me. And it is up to every voter to know the issues, understand what needs to be done and vote accordingly. Even if it means crossing over to the other political party when necessary.

The stakes are to high to stand on idealistic pie in the sky political promises of a utopian world.

I agree but there isn't another US election in two and a half years and in the meantime, thanks to a remarkably uninformed electorate, Obama is the go to guy.

Two and a half years! For comparison, it's about that long since Obama left behind a stable Iraq.

There is an extremely important election in November.

IMO, it's time for the political pendulum to swing the other way for a while.

Yes, it certainly is. But even if control is won what can they do about Obama?

You've almost got it, but there's an extension to your point. And that is the uninformed people that don't have a clue as to the damage that Obama is doing to this country, and their very own rights. They have no idea about what the Constitution is there for, or what he is doing to violate it. Team them up with the left wing socialists who hate the Constitution, and you have enough votes to elect someone like Obama.

The President is much, much less important than you seem to think he is. What Obama himself is doing to violate the constitution? I'm not sure what you're referring to. Are you a big fan of alternative media websites that make no attempt to relay actual facts, or are you the type who prefers to believe what extreme right wing media figures tell you without doing any research. Let me know and I'll have an easier time responding to your point.

What a difference a year makes...

You are pretty much making my point for me. If you don't have the slightest idea, can't even come close to figuring out were he might be pushing the limits of his office, then it would be a fools errand to try and explain it to you. I haven't voted for a democrat in a long time, so I won't be doing it.

Such as when 22 TEA-party rebels sabotaged their own Speaker and blew our last best chance at a grand-bargain?
Are those the brain cells missing you're referring to?
We'd be balanced by now if the GOP imploders weren't so unbalanced.

I pray every night that Rep. Ryan is successful in getting this House in order next year as the incoming Ways and Means chair .

Why? What do you think Ryan will do? Why should people support those that are not representing their beliefs? What's a "Tea Party Rebel"?

The Tea Party is a grassroots movement that calls awareness to any issue which challenges the security, sovereignty, or domestic tranquility of our beloved nation, the United States of America. From our founding, the Tea Party represents the voice of the true owners of the United States: WE THE PEOPLE - See more at: About Us - Tea Party

Wow, what a bunch of rebels!

Since when are you a rebel if you want government to know it's place as described by the Constitution?

Re: Obama has no strategy yet for dealing with ISIS.

Is it really his fault that the guy who delivers his newspaper is always a day or two late?

I think he gets it on time, it just takes a day or two to get someone to explain it to him.
