Agreed. For the past decade(s)? her "humor" has become nothing but mean-spirited nastiness. Can't stand to watch her, and flip the channel if she is on it.

That said, I wish her a speedy recovery... and perhaps a modicum of humility along with a renewed appreciation of life.

    You and I both, sir.
Be skeptical of anyone who wears a political label - party or ideology - with pride. Most of our problems are because people love to "debate" (it isn't debate, but they pretend it is), but are not interested in developing solutions. Solutions require empathy, thought, and compromise, and most folks aren't interested.

I read somewhere this afternoon that only last night Rivers had joked that she could go at any minute.

I hope that minute isn't now. I too used to think she was edgy (remember her imitation of Princess Anne? Okay, that was really mean, but also truthful), but she has been a nasty piece of work for a long time now, and I truly hope that she has time to get her spiritual affairs in order.

What makes you think she needs to get her spiritual affairs in order? From my prospective, and I like Joan Rivers, I think she either has that covered or isn't concerned about it.

In many ways, she truly is a survivor...as has been pointed out a few ways here in the thread.

    I hope she survives this.

Reports this morning are that she's "resting comfortably" in hospital.

She is one very funny lady.

I hope she makes a recovery.

I want to see what she is going to do next.
