Well, Wendys and White Castle are HQed in Columbus Ohio. Course he would say that.. shameless plug for a Senator who only won his seat due to a 3rd party candidate.

Buffet is underwriting Obesity King's move which completely wipes out your rant on him..
As he has underwritten many other inversions.
He's one of you--please check your sources next time .

I don't blame Burger King at all, in fact... though I don't often do fast food. I think I'll go get a whopper, to support another Atlas who has Shrugged.

If you want to boycott them then boycott them. If you want to campaign to boycott them, then do that too. I will probably stop going there myself. However, they still should have the right to move their headquarters, if they so choose.

Then why would you stop going there? How have they wronged you?

I read an article and I can't find it again that claimed the tax difference is about 1%. My guess is the move is due to some other reason. My OP was really intended to point out the stupidity of boycotting an employer in your own state
    From the ashes.

The fact of the matter is that our tax rate doesn't net out to be a very good deal for business or they'd be relocating here instead of everywhere else.
You can't reason anyone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

And as for boycotting Burger King..... I don't know how they convince anyone to buy any of their crap in the first place.

What percentage of Burger King's revenue comes from the U.S.? I'd wager it's the majority.

So U.S. governments (at all levels) should get their piece of that commerce, if anyone should.

They pay for access to the market, and for the services those governments provide.

Would reducing the Corporate tax, and adding a VAT be acceptable to you corporate tax haters?

The interesting thing is that liberals also call those deductions loopholes, and want to get rid of them to make companies pay even more. They think companies pay too little, not too much.
