Judicial Watch Claims IRS Attorneys Admit Lois Lerner's 'Missing' Emails Exist

After maintaining for quite some time that Lois Lerner’s emails are completely, definitely gone (maybe), it turns out that there’s now a different story.
According to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton:
Department of Justice attorneys for the Internal Revenue Service told Judicial Watch on Friday that Lois Lerner’s emails, indeed all government computer records, are backed up by the federal government in case of a government-wide catastrophe.
Fitton went on to say that those same attorneys have indicated that finding the emails would be too difficult but that the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) is investigating.

This is going to be interesting. I wonder how judges Sullivan and Walton are going to respond to this.

If this in fact true, which it appears to be, then I would expect the left to voice their outrage over the government blatantly lying to congress, to federal judges and to the American people. I expect they will be calling for heads to roll just like those of us on the right have... Am I right?

There was never any question that the IRS and Lois Lerner were lying through their teeth.

Issa needs to keep pushing and thank God for Judicial Watch.

Yep, I just noticed that. I just stopped working for the day. Done with framing the remodel!!! I went to read news and noticed:

In his sworn declaration, Stephen Manning – deputy chief information officer for strategy and modernization with the IRS Information Technology business unit – reports that “there is no record of any attempt by any IRS IT employee to recover data from any Blackberry device assigned to Lois Lerner in response to the Congressional investigations or this litigation.” This despite the fact that Lerner had been in possession of a government-issued Blackberry since November 2009, according to the statement of Thomas J. Kane – deputy associate chief counsel for procedure and administration within the IRS Office of Chief Counsel – and it would likely have hosted at least some of Lerner’s electronic communications.

Moreover, IRS documents provided by Kane show that Lerner’s Blackberry “was removed or wiped clean of any sensitive or proprietary information and removed as scrap for disposal in June 2012.” By that time, a congressional investigation was well under way. In March of that year then-IRS chief Douglas Shulman was questioned by Congress about the targeting of conservative groups, and in April Republican congressman sent questions to Lerner about the targeting. Lerner responded on April 26. These revelations increase the likelihood that Judge Sullivan would grant a motion requesting limited discovery, which Judicial Watch is permitted to file after September 10.

Can't do a lot without the Senate. That day is coming. Their worst nightmare is a Senate and House controlled by Republicans. Everything starts to fall if that happens.

Of course there are the two federal judges, Sullivan and Walton, could order an independent counsel.

Just to recall, specifically



We can clearly see that his words in this instance were as truthful as all his other words, which is to say, not at all and not in the least.

Its never gonna happen. If this guy was going for any kind of legacy, don't think he'll like what it ends up being....incompetence, corruption or both.

Now, it seems, that her Blackberry was wiped or destroyed after they requested information from her. Nixon was impeached for less.
 
The Liberals used to pile into these IRS threads like stink on a monkey.

It was almost instantaneous. So where are they ?

Where's Pete ? Or are they finally accepting the fact that the Obama administration most likely participated in something so illegal, so heinous that just the mention of it led to Nixon's resignation ?

On a debate site i used to belong to , everytime there was an IRS thread, the Liberals would pile onto the phony scandal/GOP witchhunt train. They must be messing up their undies over the Blackberry revelation.
