Woman accused of helping husband dump body of babysitter after sex and drug binge gets five year sentence | National Post

OGDEN, Utah — A Utah woman accused of helping her husband dump their teenage babysitter’s body in the woods after a night of sex and drugs has been sentenced to up to five years in prison.

A state judge sentenced 41-year-old Dea Millerberg in an emotional hearing on Thursday. Calling the crime heinous and depraved, Judge W. Brent West said he would have levelled a harsher sentence if not for a plea deal prosecutors agreed to in exchange for Millerberg’s testimony against her husband.

I don't usually engage in the gender disputes unless it has to do with abortion or child support. However, I will say this without a shred of doubt. If this accomplice had been a man of any race, creed or political lean, the courts would have given him three times what this woman got. This woman conspired with her husband to engage in a pedophilic relationship that directly led to this young woman's life. The kid wasn't a saint, she did drugs and had sex at an early age. Still, none of that deserved being disposed of like a dog.

It's like the Karla Homolka problem. Give a plea deal to testify against the husband and then she doesn't have to serve what she SHOULD serve. If I were that dead girl's parents, I'd be pissed.

This woman should have gotten life. She's a disease.
