Ferguson police chief: Officer didn't stop Brown as robbery suspect

You know for a fact that firing off six rounds is "EASILY" done in close range?

Yes, and I don't currently even own a firearm. Some of us here are veterans and we know that for a fact. Some are active or retired LEOs. Some just gun enthusiasts.

It's rather obvious that you are well under-educated for this discussion and you're not at all making the partisan side you've chosen look good.

Does "Expert Marksmanship" mean anything to you? I think I know what I speak of. No, six shots in close range is way too many. I'm not condemning this police officer off-handedly, but there should be an investigation, as the facts don't look very good in his direction. Now, you can simply state your bias that you will support this police officer no matter what, while you vote to defund police departments and their retirement, or perhaps, you could come to understand a different way of thinking.

What do you think?

Expert marksmanship awarded by whom because you are wrong. Six shots not only can be fired easily at close range, they can be fired from the hip. Officers are actually trained to do that in a fight. Point and shoot, keep shooting til he is stopped or run out of ammo

I don't care what you say, there is something wrong with someone who is holding up their arms, being shot six times, and 3 times to the head. There will be an investigation...

Ferguson police chief: Officer didn't stop Brown as robbery suspect

It was twice to the head.

How and why he was holding up his hands is not yet established. People hold them up to surrender and raise them when running. The officer claims that brown was rushing him.

Uh no there will not BE investigation the investigation has been going on for days now.

There is no standard for how many shots are too many at ANY range.

The standard is as many as needed until the threat is stopped.

I didn't realize that was pertinent information anyway. From my understanding the tape was totally faked for the sole purpose of denigrating Brown's character and that Wilson only shot Brown because he hated black people. I mean, what else do we need to know about this incident?

Where is the link with the video of brown with his hands up?

And youve already shown your bias here by making this a partisan issue. Although im not shocked democrats are cheerleading for criminals

Well in any incident involving minorities, republicans seem to make a special effort to condemn the minority even before all facts are stated. Then turn around and ask why we always think you are racist.

No, you are wrong. Republican often take the side of cops. Thats how we are wired i guess. Respect the law, dont commit crimes and all that. Democrats not so much.

Not republicans fault that black people are committing crimes and they are getting the business end of justice

So out of all the police cases, you can't recall any time where police brutality wasn't justified against people of color?

I can think of many instances where police brutality was justified. I can also name a few where it was not. Based on what has been reported thus far, per tennessee v garner, this was a good shoot

Good Lord. The link is pretty much every news site and station in the United States of America. This has pretty much already been established.

Care to explain to me how the officer's face got beat to a pulp?

You know, we go through this all the time.

One poster says one thing, gets challenged for a link, and lo and behold we are told the links are too numerous to even bother, that it's "old news", "settled" or whatever.

It usually means there is no such verification, although I would love to be proven wrong on this one, simply for a change of diet after ten years.

As to how this or that? There are only two witnesses. One is the guy who pulled the trigger, and the other suspect who, it has been pointed out, is also black and has a record.

If it is so widely established and you want to be believed, post it.

The FACT is that no one on these boards knows jack ****. Everyone on these boards is posting what they BELIEVE to be true as delivered in a highly racially charged atmosphere, driving an eons old political debate from within a very filtering media.

With that as a backdrop I know this: A black kid is dead at the hands of a white cop. Again.
The nation is more divided than ever.
The nation is quibbling over details that will likely never be known. Again.

.

Bolded part:

Yes
Yes
Yes

And as of right now, nobody really knows what happened, except the cop and the dead teen.

I disagree. Lots and lots of information with which the public has yet to be provided will eventually emerge.

Link, please? How did the officer manage to shoot him six times, and three to the head in such a scuffle? You care to explain more to me?

Good grief, it all has been all over the news, and in MANY threads on this site.

True. It shouldn't be.

aaaaaaaand, it's no better when you do it, either!

Oh i think it is when its made an issue already. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander

What position do you suppose your hands be in if you were strangling some cracka? Up? Or down?

THINK!

All? Black, White and Grey?

What?

Is that what you call an under-handed slight at suggesting a payoff for their family to "shut up" or else? I think it's beyond that, don't you?

What? I wasn't suggesting a "payoff". I was suggesting in addition to whatever criminal actions occur against Wilson, the family may have grounds for a federal wrongful death suit against the PD.
