Obama: U.S. will be relentless with Islamic State after Beheading.....

His largest mistake is trying to get along with the republicans. He should have done more to advance his agenda before the 2010 election.

As expected…. the normal "but he isn't perfect" but can not follow up those words with anything but a lame jab at the other side…

Please, list off some of his mistakes and why they were mistakes.

Feel free to list his mistakes and why they are considered mistakes.

Feel free to list Bush's mistakes if you dare or maybe you don't think he made any?

You attempt to derail and change the subject has failed. Let the guy answer the question, he said Obama has made mistakes, I'd like to hear them.

Silly boy!
It's much easier to step aside, let the CoC and military act, and then critique their actions with 20-20 hindsight.
This tactic works well for both parties.

Politically, I agree, but what is happening there should, and I say "should" with my penis emptying into a strong head wind, transcend politics. One of the biggest complaints I have with both parties is this incessant need to one-up the other guy, regardless of whether or not the country is better off for it. People say no boots on the ground.. Well, there is an old saying (I think it was Marv Levy) that goes something like this: "As soon as I start listening to the fans, it won't be long before I'm in the stands with them". Obama, "should" realize the threat these animals pose to all of the West, and be damned if American low-information voters disagree. The longer we wait, the harder and more challenging it will become. I want to tear my hair out when I see these former military generals and ex CIA officials say no boots on the ground, because I know, I just know that from a military standpoint, that is exactly what we'll need to do to end this Islamist terrorist state.

Your obvious hypocrisy is duly noted. Why do you think Bush could do no wrong?

Your attempt to derail and change the subject has yet again failed.

The discussion was not about Bush, and your claims as to my thoughts on him are (no surprise here) incorrect. So let's get back to letting Texmex provide us with that list.

And I would say we have boots on the ground.
Although the Iraqi army folded when confronted with the ISIS, the Kurds, for example, ARE willing to fight the ISIS.
Our air power will, hopefully, carry the day.

Air power will stop their advances but the Iraqi's must step up to rid the captured cities of the ISIS disease. We spent 10 years and billions to train them, it is time for them to be men. We can't protect them forever.

And what about the Iraqi's we spent 10 years training? Why is it not worth their effort to fight for there own country?

Any discussion of Iraq must include Bush no matter how much you want to avoid it. I hope you agree that Bush broke Iraq and did a very bad job fixing his mess. That will never go away. Obama did it Bush's way for 6 years and now that it has failed, Obama has just begun to make his own plan. We will see how he does in the next few years. I doubt it will be worse than Bush did.

You are wasting your time trying to divert the topic to save texmex.

Oh a golf joke. Racist.

Would be par for the course. Sadly, think he views this as a criminal act and not actually what it is.

President Barack Obama on Wednesday vowed that the United States will not be swayed from airstrikes against Islamic State after the group beheaded an American journalist

No sh!t.

This guy's policies have resulted in countless innocent civilians killed and hundreds of brave American troops to die.

They don't seem to matter to him...so why should one beheading change anything?

Because it's not about them, it's about us. I'm not saying we stay to "nation build", that ship has sailed already. No I say we go in kill as many as we can, then leave them with the mess to clean up.

It is most certainly is about them, Iraq is their country. We supplied the heavy weapons that ISIS is using in Iraq so it is our responsibility to blow them all up which we are quite capable of doing from the air. ISIS has not attacked us and we can leave the house to house fighting to the Iraqi's we trained for that purpose. Iraq will be stronger for it too.

President Barack Obama on Wednesday vowed that the United States will not be swayed from airstrikes against Islamic State after the group beheaded an American journalist, an act he said is proof that the militants stand for no religion. "The United States of America will continue to do what we must do to protect our people. We will be vigilant and we will be relentless. When people harm Americans, anywhere, we do what's necessary to see that justice is done," he said.

He said militants have rampaged across cities and villages, abducted women and children and subjected them to torture and rape and killed Muslims, both Sunni and Shia, by the thousands."No just God would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day," he said. "Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim, out of expediency, that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is, they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior," Obama said.....snip~

So what do you think.....maybe this finally got to him. He pretty much told these terrorists we will do what we have to do. What say ye?

Well, considering that he went straight to the golf course after this presser I'd say....

meh.

That neither he, nor anyone else knows exactly what to do.

Hell yeah! Go Obama!

Exterminate those cockroach bastards!

NY Post said it best, It is time to bomb ISIS.

How many more dead civilians and enemies are we prepared to make in the process. And, why do people refuse to focus on failed US policies that create the problems we keep having to address. If it wasn't a matter of life, it would be laughable watching the insanity of US policy in the region. Yes, by its very strictest definition, repeating failed policy expecting a different outcome.

People like us have zero say about how our government conducts itself outside of our shores. We have to live with the decisions made. ISIS wants to kill us. They would cut both of our heads off in front of our family and loved ones, man. Perhaps because of past mistakes we're where we are at now, but when the enemy is at the gate you don't argue about how they got there but how you plan on defending you & yours. Why? There is no reverse gear or pause button in life.

Fine. After this conflict, can we all agree that decades of failed policy including support of jihadist groups has caused the fighting we've been involved in, and has created much of the hate for America. No, that won't happen, far too few people are willing to admit this fact. Did you know that 55 years ago Eisenhower commissioned his NST to produce a report on why it is that the people of the Middle East hate America so? And did you know that their report fingered US policies in the region, like the CIA sponsored coup that overthrew the elected government of Iran, installing the Shah? If America doesn't stop ****ing with these people, one of these days they will succeed.

Interestingly enough, it was Eisenhower's doctrine that was a complete disaster. Supporting, or not supporting countries based upon his feeling of whether or not they leaned toward communism rather then on there own merits.

Well, I went with what one of the New Agencies that when they Report, all others get theirs from them. The other being the AP. So if you want to fault for me going with the norm. Thats on you. But then again.....going by what Reuters reported, Did you want to say that's what Reuters was reporting or that I got what Reuters was reporting wrong?

Looks like the AP got it wrong to.....huh?

Obama: US won't stop confronting Islamic State.....

Associated Press 8 hours ago

President Barack Obama says the United States will continue to confront Islamic State extremists despite the brutal murder of journalist James Foley.

Obama says the Islamic State abducts women and children, and tortures, rapes, enslaves and kills people. He said the Islamic State targets Christians and other minorities and aims to commit genocide.....snip~

Obama: US won't stop confronting Islamic State

What happened.....they didn't use terrorist either? Plus their is 2 hrs older than Reuters? Imagine that!

Also Read my first post to any claim.

Oh and skimming news sites.....when I work in the industry is the name of the game. But.....then can you explain why a Political Site doesn't have up a Speech by the President. When its been out for the last 8 hrs?
I fault you for claiming that the President did not use a word that occurred in the first sentence. If you want accuracy go straight to the source instead of being intellectually lazy
