Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown[W:150:507]

re: Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown[W:150]

Huh, I thought the eye socket injury was a complete fabrication (or so I was told).

No, apparently not. I was the first one to post on it yesterday, but Redress informed me it wasn't from a reliable source, so I dropped it.

My brother and father were 6'4" -225+lbs and could kill a grown man with their fists, which makes the threat to Wilson much more credible. My father knocked me out cold with a glancing left hook and my brother about tore my head off with an open hand. It's like getting hit with a large bat from a man that size. The Grand Jury will have basically one thing to discern, did the officer believe his life was endangered at the time of the shoot. If they can't conclude that he was definitely NOT in danger, then they shouldn't be able to indict.

re: Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown[W:150]

The officer is white, the 'victim' was black. Thus the officer is guilty. That is the only information they want about this case, all other bits are not relevant.

;)

All FACTS are relevant.

re: Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown[W:150]

There were no abrasions found on Browns knuckles. Such a blow would certainly render broken skin on the knuckles.
Wilson screamed at the boys to get the **** on the sidewalk. They did not immediately comply so Wilson threw the car door open to hit Brown with it ...Brown pushed it back and the frame of the door hit Wilson on the head around his eye as he was exiting.
Dazed for a moment Wilson sat in the car and pulled out his gun shooting the first shot as the kids walked away.
Wilson, injured and fuming, exited the car again, shooting in a rage until he emptied his gun into Brown as he turned, surrendered and fell to the ground...
The last shot entering the top of Brown's head as he lay on the street.
This was a punitive vengeful murder, committed in a rage and will never be construed by any jury as self defense or justified.
The last shot to the top of Brown's head was the murder bullet.
No man face down on the street, with five gunshots, one to his face, can be seen as a threat to anyone.

The cop, who put 6-bullets into an unarmed man, started something that he wasn't able to handle.

The world would be better off if he had called in sick and stayed home that day.

If his orbital socket was indeed broken by Brown and Brown was indeed charging him, I would say he handled it pretty much perfectly.

But I will await the evidence. Now it is too unclear to know for sure.

If this article is accurate, they're going to have a hard time indicting Officer Wilson. If the dash and body cams have any footage, along with testimonies and corroborating evidence that exonerate him, will this become a 'flash point' for more riots/protests?

Literally breaking someone's face is grounds for being shot to death.

It will be a miscarriage of justice if the officer is prosecuted based off what's known already.

I agree, there's a lot that we don't know.

Not certain. Plus you explain a scenario which may work below.
Wilson screamed at the boys to get the **** on the sidewalk. They did not immediately comply so Wilson threw the car door open to hit Brown with it ...Brown pushed it back and the frame of the door hit Wilson on the head around his eye as he was exiting.
Then that is serious assault on a police officer, and if performed with enough force to break the officers skull bones it justifies lethal force. Period.

This is ALL conjecture. If the dead man was charging the officer then a fatal shot to the head likely happened as he was going down from the other shots. And yes, a dead man is no longer a threat. That too is meaningless without the context of what was happening right before his death. Lethal force is used to specifically eliminate a threat.

No breaking someones face is not grounds for killing someone, defending your life with deadly force from a continuing threat is.

We're in agreement and have been since before you quoted me ;)

Wow buddy, that's some story. I guess that's the only interpretation of the story that (a) somewhat fits the autopsy, (b) supports the prosecution's eyewitnesses and (c) will get Wilson convicted of murder. Too bad it has no basis in medical science and shows a wanton disregard for the salient facts available.

Officer Wilson's eye injury is the evidence of struggle. One punch to the eye socket does not necessarily leave the hand with an abrasion. Punch a wall very hard (a harder surface than Wilson's eye). It will not leave you with an abrasion. You also have fabricated a part of the story where you the door frame hit Wilson (not a single eyewitness suggested this) in order to explain Wilson's eye wound.

Your story also relies on significant speculations about Officer Wilson's character. Care to substantiate them?

Obviously no man face down on the street with five gunshots, one to his face can be seen as a threat (Hint: He's dead). But before that, he was a 6'4, 300lb giant who had committed strong-arm robbery, assaulted Officer Wilson, attempted to take his gun, and bum-rushed him. He was a threat to the storekeeper and if the autopsy and unwitting youtube eyewitnesses (who have no reason to lie) are anything to go by, a threat to the officer.

"Baden said there was no sign of a physical struggle on Brown’s body. But he said the officer’s injuries would also have to be considered before any conclusions are drawn, as would the clothing worn by both Brown and officer Wilson."

What you have posted is your opinion, which you are entitled to.

It will have zero impact on the trial, if and when it's held.

Obviously. This is, however, a forum to discuss the case. There are opinions on both sides, you can't just cherrypick the ones that you disagree with and speak out against.

I know that if someone beats me that bad and then comes at me for more, I'm going to pull the trigger too.

That, in fact, the very reason I carry a gun in the first place.

No.
Lethal force imparted on an incapacitated unconscious person is murder.
Even if that person was attacking seconds before.

Autopsy showed that the shot to the top of the head was the last and fatal shot. The bullet came to rest at the front of his brain.
He had to be lying face down on the street for that to happen.
2nd degree murder ... manslaughter at best.
Wilson's best defense would be to plead temporary insanity from brain damage.
My guess is that's how he will plead.

Wow.......That's not at all what the autopsy showed........................There's misrepresenting evidence and then there's this.....

re: Missouri cop was badly beaten before shooting Michael Brown[W:150]

What evidence do you have that a friend punched him in the face to help him on this case.... because that is exactly what you are implying.

When you have to go so far as to make up convoluted stories to keep supporting your point of view, maybe its time to take a good look in the mirror at the type of person you are that you refuse to acknowledge your initial beliefs were wrong so much that you are willing to make up stories to convince yourself its true.

In TV shows, people who show these excellent qualities end up in the mental health ward.... just saying.

It's not convoluted at all. Better to suffer a little pain and have a good reason for killing an unarmed man than not. What's convoluted? As for mental health, I know more than most since that's my profession. Enough to spot it in the latest hapless black guy shot multiple times by two cops for stealing soda outside the store.

If Wilson hadn't fired that shot Brown would still be alive.
Face down in the street, unconscious from the eye shot and incapacitated from the chest shot, Brown was no longer a threat.
Murder.

The prosecution's version of events has been changing rapidly and numerous facets have had to be added/amended in order to explain new evidence that is causing the prosecution's case to fall apart quite dramatically. Plugging holes in a sinking ship.

If you seriously think that guy was shot for stealing soda, you truly have just proven how far you're willing to go to bend facts to convict Wilson of murder.

Murder.

The autopsy did not say that the shot was fired when Brown was face down. This is what Baden said:

“This one here looks like his head was bent downward,” he said, indicating the wound at the very top of Mr. Brown’s head. “It can be because he’s giving up, or because he’s charging forward at the officer.”

Also, there was no shot to the chest. Stop fabricating lies.

That is exactly what Baden's report showed;
,
Dr. Baden’s autopsy findings reveal that the fatal, and likely the final, bullet entered the top of Michael Brown’s skull, and another entered his right eye. The other four hit his right arm.

The bullets left multiple wounds, and the one that hit his eye exited through his jaw and re-entered near his collar-bone.
Last time I checked my collar bone is on my chest .
The autopsy drawing also showed an entrance wound above the right nipple.
Two chest wounds.

Trajectory is everything. Baden said that the bullet entered the very top of the skull and came to rest at the front of the brain.
Face down on the street just as he ended up.

OR if Michael Brown returned to the side walk and kept walking.

or bent down in a charge.

or falling down as a result of the previous shot.
