while I support the use of air power, there are a lot of fronts on this war -including Syria itself. only so much we can do..

new Iraqi PM - so now what?
See this is good, because the kurdish state is fairly peaceful and have shown they can stabilize their own society (not perfectly, but they do pretty good). The rest of iraq needs to take this lesson.

(also, we should be supportive of them just taking their piece of land and forming a new country)

absolutely a fiasco -I write a sort of blog (c/p) of daily events, with some commentary in it about the continuing mess we left in Libya.

FYI if you'd like to review it, rather then me c/p a few. Obama & NATO screwed the pooch big time. here is the link

we are supporting the Kurds, they seem to be doing most of the fighting.
Hopefully they get Kurdistan out of this -Iraq is going to partition, i'm almost sure
But then again Maliki turned the Iraqi army into a sectarian militia....anyways..what about Baghdad ? kinna tough to sit back and let it get terrorized...

I think the only way towards peace is a three state solution and I am fully supportive of it. Defining the borders, thats the problematic part and its going to unfortunately be a bloody affair. I dont think there is any viable solution except war. There are just too many generations of vendettas.

However, the moment a treaty is signed defining borders. We need to put a ton of un troops there to enforce it until there is a cooling off period. Thats their only long term chance I think.
