    Something absent pre 2003.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

No, there's a large terrorist group committing genocide. It's not just a suicide bomb and a rocket here and there, ISIS is committing genocide against helpless victims as we type.

sadam was no better than hitler and that is part of the problem. the culture is so volatile that such tactics had to be used. just let the **** explode and the fuel burn itself out. once these people stop viewing their religion like 11th century europe did, they can join humanity and we can have business dealings, investments, and do other things that actually enrich their lives.

But not against Americans. We have neither the manpower, resources, or the will to prevent every genocide that occurs around the world.

Iraq voices anger as US air force defends Irbil but not Baghdad

Iraq voices anger as US air force defends Irbil

Iraq's political class has watched with fear and envy in the last fortnight as American jets have slowed the Islamic State extremist group's advance towards the Kurdish stronghold of Irbil.

At the same time, the group, formerly known as Isis, has been trying to encircle Baghdad untroubled by air strikes. Its manoeuvres near the national capital in recent days have consolidated gains it has made in the last two tumultuous months and made the very existence of Iraq in its current borders ever more precarious.
while I support the use of air power, there are a lot of fronts on this war -including Syria itself. only so much we can do..

new Iraqi PM - so now what?

It's not an endorsement of Hussein, its a criticism of policy that has made matters in Iraq WORSE then they were under him. But don't think for a minute that humanitarianism has anything to do with US policy in Iraq. There were no terrorist organizations running around Iraq pre 2003.
