Michael Brown was a robbery suspect before he was shot to death, police say

The chief is going to scrifice Wilson, to save his own ass. Til now he thought he could appear to support Wilson, then back-peddle when Wilson got convicted. The more facts that come out, the less guilty Wilson looks.

I wonder the chief of police is elected. The mayor damn sure is and he hires the chief.

It's shameful how Wilson is going to be run rough-shod through a kangaroo court.

Chief Jackson isn't running the investigation now.

Interesting. I guess now witnesses are saying that Brown never attacked the cop. But that the cop was trying to pull brown into the car through the window and brown was trying to pull away and back off. Then the cop shot him as the COP chose to wrestle with him. Then Brown ran. So I guess now if a cop decides to assualt you he has a right to shoot you?
And you think that is plausible? :doh :lamo
Highly unlikely that an Officer is going to try and pull anybody into the cars window.

Let's see if there's a thread created by the liberals from the Rush Limbaugh/Robin Williams thread who claimed they always call out disgraceful comments by liberals that go over the line. They claim not to be hypocrites - we'll see.

I could name a couple who frequently claim the mighty holy high ground on such issues, but never do a damn thing - we'll see.

Don't hold your breath! ;)

Letrs start with the only factual thing you just offered...

"I GUESS...."

At the end of the day no one knows what the **** they are protesting, protecting, or defending.

Oh...but lets not let that slow anyone down.

Most of the time cops get away with this kind of action. It's time it should be addressed and corrected.

Yes, it's perfectly reasonable in such rare cases for such matters to be fully addressed and where necessary correction to procedures made and in the very rarest of cases, charges laid and prosecuted.

Imagine if instances where a police officer is assaulted and wounded and/or killed were given the same media spotlight - you'd likely never see anything else on television, ever.

Wilson was trying to pull a 6'4", 300 pound dude through the window, INTO the car?

Yeah, that story sounds perfectly realistic!

Um, damn. Like, damn damn. Talk about trying to fit the square peg into the round hole, huh?

I'd like to see a forklift try to push a 6'4" 300 pound guy through a car window.

I didn't read the post you quoted, just your post, but please tell me that the post you quoted was satire or...something.

And this should be investigated, as well; but not by a lynch mob.

Maybe everybody should be up in arms and wreak havoc on the neighborhood it happened in just to bring attention to it.
And to teach those in the neighborhood a lesson not to act that way.
But alas, I am sure reasonable folks know that would work.

Ok, I am really confused now....The Police chief said today that this officer was not responding to the cigar theft...Seems like both sides are kind of blurring intentionally....

I just watched the interview. The Chief said that the "initial" contact had nothing to do with the theft. That pretty much jives with witness accounts and the cops version (as told through a third party).

It appears that the initial contact was simply because Brown and his buddy were walking in the middle of the street blocking traffic. Shortly after that initial contact it seems that a suspect description was broadcast so the cop backed up and attempted to detain Brown.

I could be wrong but I think the post I quoted was very serious.

Actually, I think from what I've seen and heard in interviews that there are a lot of good people, people of faith, people with principle and decency to guide them, in this little place called Ferguson, Missouri. Some of the people who've come out and spoken against the violence, burning and looting, and some who've said let the investigation play out. I don't think they need to be taught a lesson but the media needs to spend less time focused on the bad actors or this isn't going to move forward.

There is video of him...Speculating? I think both sides are doing that, no?

The video...

Does this change how those defending Brown's friends versions perceive the lead up to the altercation between Brown and the police?

Much depends on the authenticity of the surveillance video.

If you watch that video, you'll notice that on the second bin down of the newspaper rack to the right is a stack of newspapers, and that stack appears to have a rectangular dark area on the right side, indicating that at the time of the robbery, the newspapers within that stack had a mostly dark picture on the right side that across the middle center of the front page--through the spot where it was folded.

So if that video were authentic, whatever newspaper that's normally kept on that bin by the convenience store (whose location and name is now known) would have had to have that dark picture printed on its front page on August 9, 2014--the day when the cops allege that robbery occurred.

If, OTOH, that video were fake, i. e. created by the cops solely to malign the character of the Mr. Browm, then that newspaper would've had that dark pic printed on it on a subsequent day--the day the cops made that fake video.

If I were someone in the Black community concerned about the cops deceiving the public to restore their image, I'd go to that store and ask (discreetly) about what newspaper is kept on that bin, and then check to see if that newspaper actually had such an image on its front page on August 9.

Yeah, cops often try arresting 6'4", 300 pound suspects by pulling them through the car window. I'm totally buying that explanation
Obviously he wasnt trying to arrest him. He was trying to punk him or have an excuse to shoot him?

And here he is dead in the street a few minutes later.

WOW - you need to move to Mount Vernon, WA - you're a natural.

I really really really could have done without seeing the picture of the dead man. Who the hell took that? How disrespectful to him and his family, I don't care what he did.
