If you didn't mean that as a dodge to avoid criticizing a Republican president for the same behavior you criticize Obama for state so. If you're going to criticize one you need to extend your criticism to all.
Thats applying the same standard (getting things done) to both presidents. If you want to disagree with my assessment, then do so. But instead you want to just call me names (partisan).

As previously stated Obama has "gotten things done" - Obamacare for example - and he certainly has had his share of domestic and foreign problems to deal with.

So how do you conclude he's gotten enough less done than his predecessors to warrant criticism that they escape?

Obama has achieved many things, not as much and not as progressive as some would like..... but hey, if you don't like it, you can always nominate someone and get them elected to do what YOU want next time.

If the GOP came up with some workable plans that they could agree on without all the infighting then explain them to the public in a calm, rational way, they might win.

You gotta admit that they can't even agree on much with themselves. They talk about cutting some of the social programs, that's fine, but they need to explain just how they're gonna cut them and what are we gonna do about the older, sick, and disabled people that need these programs to survive. Same with SS.

Same thing. For those in Congress to castigate Obama for what they themselves do to a significantly greater extent - and for what their boy Dubya did to a MUCH greater extent - is blatant hypocrisy.

As previously stated, I said 'since 2009' which is when he did stimulus and obamacare (early 2010). That was his first year in office. Since then, there has been little accomplished, neither in working with congress, or in his executive powers. He attacked Libya, then we had some diplomats murdered there. He aided Syrian rebels, nothing has changed. He objected to Russia invading Ukraine, nothing changed. He sent Kerry to Israel, they laughed at him. He caught Bin Laden, theres a plus, but hard to argue he did anything than say Go. He hasnt addressed the IRS issue, he hasnt reduced spending within his branch, he hasnt fixed the VA, he hasnt sealed the border, or reigned in the NSA. Whats he done other than the least amount of work possible? Hes given a lot of speeches. Hes raised a lot of money for the DNC.

No, its a logical fallacy, specifically argumentum ex silentio, that the absence of evidence is proof.

Everyone needs to take a break from time to time, eh?

Even if he's the president of the USA, who's always on the job, no matter where he is 24/7.
What's the purpose of this thread, because you know damn well this has been discussed numerous times? A centrist suddenly feeling the need to apologize for a leftwing President while bashing a rightwing one is pretty suspicious to me. Is your politics feeling threatened or something?

Re: Obama's vacations and golf outings, by the numbers

Its not even us right wing extremist saying this. Liberal media has been all over Obama about this. What would the Ferguson people think if they heard Obama say "chill" and then saw him laughing it up on the golf course? Are they going to go burn down the White House?

President Obama went straight from a press briefing to the putting greens on Thursday. Shortly after making remarks on the situation in northern Iraq and the escalating tensions in Ferguson, Mo., Obama headed to the Vineyard Golf Club, according to a White House press pool report. Obama is in the middle of a two-week summer vacation in Martha's Vineyard, Mass.

Obama’s partners for his latest golf outing included senior adviser Valerie Jarrett’s cousin Cyrus Walker, former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and World Bank President Jim Kim, according to the White House.
The commander in chief has been a regular on the golf course and has hit the links nearly every day since arriving in the ritzy enclave on Saturday.

He'll be interrupting his getaway on Sunday for a trip back to Washington for what the White House has described as “a day or two of in-person meetings.”

Pretty much. Its the same thing as the impeachment issue. Its bait. They know certain people cant address the issue in a logical civil way, so by they bring up the issue in order to get a emotional response. They arent really interested in a debate or a discussion. Notice all the name calling.
