Election math bodes well for house republicans

Read those, they say if a president does something found illegal they should be impeached. NOT ONE SAYS THEY WILL IMPEACH. Beyond that-you didn't source whatever silly little lefty rag you got it from.

He obviously didn't read his own quotes. Take this one for example:

Rep. Blake Farenthold: House has Votes to Impeach President Obama. “Rep. Blake Farenthold thinks the House of Representatives has the votes to impeach President Barack Obama in response to an inquiry about the authenticity of the president’s birth certificate, but said at a town hall meeting he doesn’t think it would be the best approach. if we were to impeach the president tomorrow, we would probably get the votes in the House of Representatives to do it.’” [Politico, 8/12/13]

Is this a call for an impeachment? This is actually an argument AGAINST IMPEACHMENT.

November will be cool.
Yea just like the GOPERS thought November 2008, would be cool??

And the GOPERS thought they would win the Senate in 12 too..

They also thought that Mormon turd was going to beat Obama too, and Obama kicked his ass...

See a pattern here...

The GOPERS can keep the house, but are NOT gonna win the senate, BULL****..

Why do you clowns keep bringing up Obama, he's not running again?? and his approval numbers are 45% a LOT HIGHER than those GOP maggots in congress stuck in the mud at 13% keep dreaming..

Wont matter as long as the media for the most part is pro GOP as in they dont call the GOP out on their bull****, then the chance of the Dems gaining the upper ground in districts is slim to none. Only chance the Dems have is Senate wise and of course the White House. The GOP has the House locked up for a long time, unless there is a massive swing in states to the Dems and I dont see that happening with the dirty tricks of the GOP.

That pesky Pro-GOP media, eh? Tell us more.

They have a lot of nerve reporting Obama's many scandals and targeting of conservatives, dont they? Clearly.

The scary thing is I think he did read them-he just doesn't know what it says. This is how the left likes its members.

Theres an effort to paint the republicans as for impeachment-its a way to gain sympathy for Obama and the dems-so they make claims that just aren't so-lies-but whats new there?

This is what desperation looks like.

ELECTION MATH BODES WELL FOR HOUSE REPUBLICANS-The GOP enjoys a clear advantage in holding on to - and likely growing - its majority going into the midterms.

Why Democrats can't win back the House

Lots of interesting data, including that low turnout and low approval will hurt the Dems in the senate as well. What this means is that even if the Republicans somehow massively fail (unlikely), things will remain unchanged. Its a push worst case, essentially-and election day is just around the corner.

However, I think the Republicans will win the senate as well, with only 5 seats needed. It will be interesting watching the lamer duck Obama quack like the affleck duck.

I am not sure what the great news is here... everyone knows the trends (the "out of the White House" party generally picks up seats in off presidential year elections) and the class of 2008, may of which won in reaction to dissatisfaction with Bush, are up for re-election. Its going to favor the Cons. Now, the Dems big hope is the Cons shoot themselves in the foot, which they are so good at doing. A little Sept-Oct impeachment talk ought to do the trick... otherwise its a good year for the Cons.

Conversely, the Cons should get shellacked in 2016 as the the class of 2010 will be up. Between 2014 and 2016, the Cons won't really know what to do with their new found power, because they have no ideas and have no clue how govern, so they will do something stupid with their spare, like actually trying to impeach the President, which will expose them as petty, idea-less and incompetent.... which should turn the Senate handily back to the Dems. Of course, Republican policy pretty much has mathematically eliminate any chance at the White House, so they will lose there as well. So, enjoy November, Cons... it will be your last hurrah for awhile.

Do take satisfaction, you Cons, as you have pretty much fortified the house through 2021... so you will hold a majority in the house is spite of the fact, as in 2012, most Americans will vote for Dems.

Lets hope so. Elections have consequences.

Do you deny that this is the fact.. that the GOP had gerrymandered so many districts that it secures them a majority in Congress?

The senate could have gone republican (or pretty near to it) and Harry "surrender monkey" Reid could have been put to pasture if the GOP had ran winnable candidates in the last election. They have have make sure they don't run any "legitimate rape" type of candidates.

Impeachment should not be discussed until after the elections-when the republicans control the senate.

I'm looking forward to it. Obama theideologue won't be able to "pivot" like Clinton. It should be fun.

I wonder if a Republican Congress will have a pen and a phone?

They aren't going to do ****. Republicans talk big about getting rid of that tyrant, but then they turn around and say that it's not good for their election chances to attempt it right now.

As Jon Stewart put it, if your biggest concern in ousting a tyrannical dictator is how it might affect your mid-term election chances, thats not tyranny.

Today Deuce has a two-for-one sale going on for Straw man arguments.

Bonus is that one of them is a non-sensical masterwork by Jon Stewart that is meticulously ahistorical.

Deuce, this may surprise you but getting your commentary from a comedian on a comedy channel is not the best idea.
First, you bring this type of thing to vote when you have the votes.
Second, you dont do it when it might help your opponent before an election.
Finally, its best to do when the senate-which actually conducts the trial-is on your side.

Lots of reasons to wait but a mere 3 months before revisiting this.

Dont worry, it wont be far off.
