Where does The Constitution come close to saying that?

Actually I don't follow the Ten Commandments.

Its not "my religion " nor does it apply to " my religion " or my faith.

I'm not a pre-Christ Israelite sitting at the bottom of Mount Sinai.

Having to endure anything is having to listen to the people that whine about the Posting of the Ten Commandments on Public buildings.

Nope, but they can keep displays of it off public and government property, so as to not present a preference to one religion or another.

Unless you're okay with the equally un-related to any American laws display of the Sharia Laws, Satanic Laws, and so on. Which I'm going to guess you'd not be okay with. Hence a preferential treatment of one religion which is not allowed by the Constitution.

Practice all you want, at home and in your church. Why do you feel the need to push it others in public spaces? Insecure about it I guess.

You don't get to force your beliefs on us, neither.

There is little opposition except for the court system...
I don't often change my signature, but this was just too over the top to let anyone forget with what this country is up against...

Technically, they can't. Why aren't the atheists going after the satan monument in Oklahoma City?

Actually the more pertinent question is why are xians denying it's display? Neither have much to do with our actual laws, so why fight one and not the other?

    Here we go......

The Constitution is a document of words. Words written in English

The definition of those words has NEVER changed.

People may twist and try to redefine those words because they disagree with them but it doesn't change the actual document.

Your desperate attempt to equate " preference " to a LAW is typical and its a bit dishonest.

" Your reading " of the Constitution has no bearing on the original definition which is clear and unequivocal.

Its not relevant in the least.

No I am not, I did this dance once before.

    Not having idols
Can't apply it to any kind of modern legal system.

Not to mention that the modern Christian church and evangelicals who want the Ten Commandments in Court Houses have basically turned Jesus on the Cross into an idol.

    Whoops.

    honoring your father and mother
Problem is, what exactly is this suppose to entail, and how does one apply it to a modern legal system.

There's some pretty ****ty parents out there that deserve no "honouring"

So if it's a blanket statement are kids supposed to honour everything their parents do?

    Whoops.

    not killing
As I said, that was covered long before the bible was written.

Didn't need the Ten Commandments to know murder was wrong.

    not commiting adultery
A novel idea but can't really be applied to a civilized modern legal system unless you support hanging adulterers not really much you can do there besides monetary compensation based on divorce stemming from infidelity.

    Strike Four.

    not stealing
    Again covered before Ten Commandments.

not lying, and not coveting what others have make good sense societally.
Sure... but we all do it anyway, it'd be great if we didn't but we do and it cannot be applied to a modern legal system, it makes no sense for any kind of enforcement... therefore it's bull crap
