Do they believe that the world would have been better with Saddam Hussein? These Americans are frightened of the unknown and wish they were safe from the Islamists out to get them. But the fact is that these terrorists have always been out to get innocent people throughout the world. These Americans you speak of (and others) don't understand that going to war is one thing and winning the war quite another. Terrorists will do their best to attack nations around the world, not just Americans, in an attempt to spread their version of Islam. Your policy of running and hiding may make you feel more secure temporarily but they'll still pull you out from under that bed and treat you as they did Danny Pearl or Mike Foley.
I am betting that Monte never seriously studied history and the failures of appeasement by the likes of Neville Chamberlain.

Nobody said our bad policies justified it. What has been demonstrated is that our bad policies have facilitated these animals in carrying out their acts. It sucks that so many of you fail to see that. Although, don't you fault Obama's ME policies?

And I'll wager that OF never has sued for peace but has always been aggressive, a fighter. Advancing peace is superior to war and appeasement.

Yup. And about half of them will continue voting for republicans.

And we also have a lot of dis-informed voters. Mostly those who watch no news source other than Fox News. The majority of those folks will also vote for republicans.

Highly informed voters are pretty much out numbered, and always will be. I think that's the reason why our founding fathers created a representative democracy and why they didn't have direct election of the president.

Iraq was a newly functioning democracy until Obama decided to pull the troops. Now it's back to chaos.

So tell me since Fox News isn't credible including Sheppard Smith and Brett Bayer and the other hard news journalists who is credible in your world? What I find interesting in your post is the lack of logic and common sense as a very poor student of history. This country was built on personal responsibility not govt. responsibility and neighbor helping neighbor with that neighbor not being the Federal Govt.

Seems today that many Democrats don't understand a Representative Democracy thus no understanding as to the role of the states as they look for a Federal Bureaucrat in D.C. to help them with their own local problems. Far too many have no concept of where the govt. gets their money and who is paying for the services that they seem to want but not necessarily need.

I totally disagree with you that the low information voter votes Republican with most just sick and tired of the massive growth on entitlements and the Federal bureaucracy. You seem to not be able to grasp the concept of limited central govt. and look to the Federal bureaucracy to do what you cannot get done in your own local community. That is the easy way out and a basic problem with liberals.

And they would now dominate at least Europe. Iraqi citizens now get to vote and elect their own leaders. As a result of the 2003 invasion, they enjoyed freedoms that they had not had in generations...and will again when ISIS is destroyed. You will just have to accept that Saddam Hussein is dead. If you cannot work out that as a result of the 2003 invasion and without ISIS, the average Iraqi's lot in life is much improved, then it is just a case of your own wish for failure in Iraq. I cannot help you.
I feel, which means I could be wrong, that what was lost after the military left could be regained much more easily with another 'surge'. It seems that many lessons have been learned since the withdrawal and the leaders of the other ME countries, and the Democracies, may have learned a great deal of how fragile all these things can be.

Many voters have become more interested in food stamps, Obamaphones, and the war on women than on foreign policy.

I was refering more to their late pm programming.

About half of them do. but even more disinformed voters votes republican these days.

Like people who have been disinformed by numerous Fox News contributors who have claimed that 40% of our governments spending is borrowed. Or that the labor force participation rate is lower than at any point since the great depression.

many are also disinformed by tea party posts on facebook. Like people who believe that muslums are exempt from Obamacare, or that Obama has issued more executive orders than every other president combined.
