Glad Maliki is finally out..wonder what next set of dysfunctional characters takes over now?
Sigh, we'll find out soon enough. Meanwhile, I feel sorry for the ordinary people in Iraq who are at the whims of...whomever. Many years ago now I had a conversation with a Lebanese Christian who talked as if this were a commonplace (of course, it was to her) of driving to her university classes and facing shots and IEDs. We didn't have this acronym, but this is what she described. Most of us, and thank heavens, have no idea of what it's like to live this way.

yes it's not good, nor is Syria -which if possible is more of a wreck.

competing factions (rebels/jihadi/the Regime), just goes on and on ;taking and re-taking towns. Eventually this ( like all wars) has to end.
Then the horror of what to do about this reconstruction beings

In fact, the current crisis that has the ME in flames is the direct result of decades of US support of militant Islamic groups, sometimes covertly, sometimes overtly, sometimes both.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

This has nothing to do with you calling the appeaser who gave weapons to terrorist a leader. if you wanted to know this all you'd have to is read above. I suggest you're dodging here.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

Militant Islamic groups have been active since 700 AD, long before America came along, and we see this in that although they were a bit late arriving after the other major religions, they control almost all the Middle East.

They probably will control it one day , with Israel wiped out as well, and that seems to meet with the approval of many, especially among the Leftists. They will be moving into Spain soon, nothing to do with America, and other parts of Europe as well.

One positive consequence of all this murderous Muslim activity is that we don't have to put up with the tired term "Islamophobia" anymore.

As has been done throughout history. And I've given it more thought than you it would seem.

About what? I can change facts. What Reagan did is historical record.

You can suggest all you want but all that does is show your partisan opinion which the facts just don't support. Who exactly are we to negotiate with? Wonder how those dozens of people murdered in a northern Iraqi city would vote if they were still alive? Wonder exactly what convert or die really means in the liberal world?
