OBL was state sponsored by various ME countries and at least for a time by the US.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

    Review this:

Now here's the question: what do all of these successes have in common? Answer: they were all primarily diplomatic initiatives, where the use of force played little or no direct role.

    (snip)

Bottom line: it is worth remembering that America's greatest foreign policy successes were mostly the result of skillful diplomacy, not military prowess. Having a big stick is nice, but speaking softly is usually more effective.

Which Works Best: Force or Diplomacy?
You are applying western values to a region with different values. This is historical, religious, ideological, etc-western diplomacy ESPECIALLY in the ME has a poor record.

Really? Who do you negotiate with when it comes to al Qaeda or ISIS? Diplomacy works well with nations but not people whose ideology says convert or die. You have no idea what a Caliphate is and how radical these people are.

Diplomacy? With these kind of animals? Are you really this naive. They do not have your values so quit trying to apply your value to people whose radical ideology is all about an Islamic world caliphate

It's clear from that video that democrat politicians think voters all have short term memory issues. Based on many of the comments on this thread it appears they are correct in regards to progressives.
