America's Fed Up: Obama Approval Rating Hits All-Time Low, Poll Shows [W:256]

Well, that's what apologists do - it's in their job description.

And there's plenty of the little buggers to go around on both sides, they're also known as partisans.

I never voted for the lesser of 2 evils. I voted for who I wanted to win the election.

I wasn't ashamed of Bush.

A President's legacy isn't decided on the day he leaves office, nor is it decided by polls.

I left room for you, I said many. Funny how you're joining in a thread that bashes Obama on his polling numbers claiming that they don't define Bush! Ok.

"Community organizer" perhaps, but not "black person."

Of course, I haven't seen any actors since Reagan, so....

Com'on - no actors? Obama could win an Oscar for his fictional portrayal of competence.

And yet my statement still stands. The lesions on this country left by Obama will take decades to heal.

That's probably true. We're still healing from Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush. Unless you are one of those that think only democrats advance damaging policy.

Good deflection from the fact that Americans elected a B movie actor twice. The American electorate are quite surprising at times.

Have you seen another peanut farmer with a shot at a nomination? Community organizer is going to be a death sentence going forward.

Have we seen a peanut farmer try? I mean just because there hasn't been a peanut farmer doesn't mean that it is ruined for all peanut farmers.

No, but Obama's seem far more intentional and anti-US.

When did I say anything about Obama's numbers and how they pertain in any way to Bush?

You may want to read my post in this thread that pertains to Obama's poll numbers before you say something that I never said.

We can't forget about Stuart Smiley. He is in the Congress right now.

Not even close to a contender if you go back to the 1800s. Unfortunately, most cons seem to forget that history didn't start with Jimmy Carter.

Remember, Lincoln waged war on his own people.

A Couple of things.

#1 the question for the Right Track/Wrong track was asked:

That INCLUDES Congress in that as well, NOT just the President.

#2 The question about Obama you left out:

These numbers go along with his approval rating which is about what Bush's around this time. Nice try, but hardly the worst President this country has ever had. I will say he is a bad president but not the worst president.

Nice try on cherry picking there.

i think it is difficult to surpass the level of failure that the presidencies of Franklin Pierce and James Buchannan. the former signed into law the kansas-nebraska act, which led to "bleeding kansas" and the latter was unable or unwilling to stop the southern states from succeeding from the union.

in my opinion what they accomplished is comparable to someone trying to make scrambled eggs but instead they caught syphilis.

And yet my statement still stands. The lesions on this country left by Obama will take decades to heal.

Your statement doesn't still stand and it shows that you have no historical perspective. It took decades to heal reconstruction too. Anything Obama ****s up will seem minor by comparison.

I never said he didn't. Did I?

No, but you were saying about Reagan was an actor AND had executive experience. It's not a distinction between Reagan and Carter. There are plenty, but that's not one of them.

Remember, Lincoln waged war on his own people.

If he hadn't, Florida residents such as yourself would have no room to bitch about Obama. He wouldn't be your President.

Plenty of actors or entertainers have been in different political jobs. Unless the names Bono (Sonny, not the guy from U2), Schwarzenegger and Ventura (even Eastwood) mean nothing to you.

Recent history would say that a Republican will win. Just over the last 100 years, a party hanging on after 8 years only happened twice if you throw out the FDR years as an aberration. Hoover and Bush I are the only ones to pull that off. Nixon couldn't do it in 1960, not Humphrey in '68, Ford in '76, Gore in '00 or McCain in '08.

True, but those elections didn't have one party dominated by wingnuts
