Sure. Like you know me. Pffffft.
An extremist too!
American General Killed in Shooting at Afghan Military Academy - ABC News
Very serious, I hope the response to this from the US is a military one. We can't allow this.

It was based on your comment that you don't care what happens to the rest of the world! Patently extremist.
I don't. Why? Because they don't care about us.
Ambassador killed...no response.
General killed...no response.

No, I'm talking common sense for all but those who personally have something to gain by interfering in everyone else's business. For the umpteenth time, we can provide aid, help with starvation, homelessness, aids, farming advancements, water quality, trade and other business, joint projects that advance civilizations, encourage and enrich everyone. Tourism, disaster relief and all the other humanitarian adventures too numerous to list. But wishing to end US imperialism isn't isolationism, that's just a dirty four letter word you warmongers like to label peaceful people with.
Probably so-- a general is usually going to be a more valuable asset. Is the general's life worth more than those of the other soldiers
They will not have been killed in vain if we have the guts to stand fast. Hopefully Iraq has taught us something in that regard.who have been killed in vain?

Actually, "What difference at this point does it make?" is a response.

How old were you in 2001?
Kindergarten age?
That would be about right considering the content of your post.
We went into Afghanistan for no other reason than that it was providing a base and refuge for the Osama Bin laden-Al Qaeda-Night Creatures who carried out the 9/11 attack.
It was a just war if there ever was one.
We have stayed there since only to ensure that the Night Creature host does not take over again.
If isolationist nitwits, such as you, have their way then the Night Creatures probably will return, and more of our people will die than if we stay as long as we need to.
Obama's the first president since WW2 to lose a general to enemy action. He'll wear that distinction as a badge of honor.

Wrong. Marine Major General Bruno Hochmuth died in Vietnam on November 16, 1967. Johnson was president at that time.
