I deal with actual data, you deal with feelings. It would be very easy for you to prove me wrong if I am wrong but you choose words as usual over actual data and facts.

92,000,000 working-age Americans don't work. That doesn't sound like low unemployment to me.

Liberals let social issues determine their leaning and ignore the economic results which actually would affect the social issues. If we had a strong economy social issues would be mostly taken care of. People with more money in their pocket donate more to charities who do more good than bureaucrats in D.C.

According to the household survey, only 132,000 jobs were created and the unemployment rate went up (not down).

Table A-1. Employment status of the civilian population by sex and age

Plus, the prime 25-54 age group lost 142,000 jobs.

    Table A-9. Selected employment indicators

That is your idea of a 'great day for America?

For the record - I am not a con.

It is logic and comments like those of NINBY that make me a Con. They think with their hearts instead of their brain.

That's because people are more prudent with their own money than politicians are with other people's money.

Politicians on both sides spend money to buy votes. Most are more concerned about the next election than doing their job of being prudent with taxpayer money and making the right decisions. Kicking the can down the road isn't the right decision.

I will be having a long wait for you to prove the bolded, underlined part of your post above.

Here is what you want to ignore

Minimum Wage Workers in Texas 2013

Of the 6.3 million workers paid hourly rates in Texas in 2013, 223,000 earned exactly the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, while 177,000 earned less, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Regional Commissioner Stanley W. Suchman noted that the 400,000 workers earning the federal minimum wage or less made up 6.4 percent of all hourly-paid workers in the state. Nationwide, those earning the federal minimum or less accounted for 4.3 percent of the hourly-paid workforce. (The Texas minimum wage is equal to the prevailing federal minimum wage.)
Texas Labor force of 13 million and 400,000 make the Federal Minimum wage or less making that 3% of the labor force and you call that the worst in the country? Walt Disney would be extremely disappointed in your math skills.

California has more than 3 times the number of workers making California Minimum wage than the number of Texans but that fact and reality escapes you. Why?

Whats the point Con? You just will continue to shuffle and spin. Face it.....you cannot handle the truth. You only live inside your own created world in which GWB was a great leader who led the world to economic Utopia. But anyway....here you go again:
Regarding minimum-wage workers, the Austin American-Statesman said in a July 17 news article that Texas and Mississippi led the nation last year with 9.5 percent of hourly workers earning at or less than the federal minimum hourly wage of $7.25
Its been several weeks since the Vegas shooting. Its it still "Too Early" or can we start having the conversation about finally doing something about these mass shootings???

BLS is the official keeper of employment data and you have yet to prove your claim that TX has the highest percentage of employees making minimum wage in the nation. You are the one that continues to shuffle and spin in your own lies and distortions. Reality, California has the highest number of minimum wage workers in the nation, three times the number that TX has and that is according to your state labor board but keep spinning, keep distorting, and keep lying. It just so happens that the California minimum wage was 8 dollars and hour compared to 7.25 per hour in TX. You simply cannot grasp the concept that the numbers you are posting are Federal Minimum wage and of course you ignore cost of living. Don't worry, you can move to TX and live on the minimum wage here, something you cannot do in California.

Do you even know how many people in the country are making an hourly wage and then the Federal Minimum wage? Read the article I posted from BLS and then apply your percentage to that total, compare it to the 13 million in the labor force and then apologize for making a dumbass claim. It really is sad that someone your age is so married to a failed ideology that you cannot admit you are wrong. I do feel sorry for people like you, guess that is the liberal in me.
