Louisiana Republican Flees Interview When Asked About Obama's Birthplace

Maybe Journalists shouldn't be mocking people/potential candidates and start asking serious questions.....

I would have probably walked out too, not before saying; "It doesn't matter where he was born considering his mother was a US citizen."

All to frequently these progressive Journalists love to do noting but mock the non-democrat/progressive candidates in an intimidating manner, while when they interview progressives they give them nothing but "fluff questions" with a laughingly content smile.
You know, that is probably true and if any of those people were in the least intelligent they could stand up such brutal attacks, but like Palin they fold like cheap umbrellas in the slightest breeze. That you would do like they says a lot.

but all she had to do was cite her reasons for finding global warming to be an invalid belief
and she only had to acknowledge that Obama was American born and thus eligible to be our nation's president
but she did not
instead, she scurried away, unable, if not unwilling, to defend her own previously issued statements

So, all she had to do is lie? If she did that then she'd have to run as a democrat.

Even if that is true :)lol:) the best thing to counter someone who is trying to jump and destroy you is to give an answer that sounds smart, if not entirely true, then turn it around so they look foolish. I see it here daily. ;)
You mean lie 'I can see Russia from my back yard' or other similarly eloquent drivel?
By the way, when did anyone look like an idiot other than Palin over that remark?

Tina Fey. The one that actually said it.

How about this:

Global Warming is not an issue I will vote to act on and because of that I will not be answering any questions regarding it.

Does Dan Rostenkowski remind you of Sarah, too?

God!!! I wish I could find a Youtube video of him being asked a question by Chicago reporters and vaulting over the hood of a nearby car only to continue running down the street.

Rostenkowski, really? That was now many years ago?

You still think Palin said that? :lamo

You're the answer to your own question!

Huh.... you didn't answer the question. :giggling:

Maybe we'll be finding out on her new cable show.
Will you be subscribing ?

A Republican congressional candidate fled her interview with a major election-forecasting group after being asked why she believed that global warming was a hoax and whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States, according to a new report in the Washington Post.

This lady was obviously not well prepared for this interview.

Kind of reminds me of Sarah Palin.

Any thoughts?

To add it bit more to your post:

Louisiana state Rep. LENAR WHITNEY (R), candidate, Louisiana's 6th Congressional District
PERSONALITY: 12
GRASP OF ISSUES: 3
SENSE OF PURE ANIMAL TERROR: 30
LEFT SHAKEN BY ENCOUNTER: OH GOD, YES

Our Summary Review

"Fourth in the GOP field" but first among "climate deniers," Louisiana state Rep. Lenar Whitney succeeds in standing out among the "over 300 congressional candidates over the course of seven years" that this reviewer has sampled. Where the average candidate is "accustomed to tough questions" and typically capable of merely leaving one feeling "impressed" or merely "underwhelmed," Whitney -- a self-described "Palin of the South" who "relishes poking Democrats in the eye" -- stands apart from the candidates met in "hundreds of Cook Political Report meetings" by being not just "fact-averse" but, indeed, "the most frightening candidate I've met in seven years interviewing congressional hopefuls." The best moment was when Whitney "fled the room." Sure to be somebody's "worst nightmare.

You're the answer to your own question!
Perhaps you need to pay attention to what you read. I was paraphrasing, that is why I did not use quotation marks. If I thought that she said that I would have quoted her. So who is looking like an idiot?

I'm teasing you, Texmex. ;) It was a bit longer than four years.

I thought maybe there was another scumbag I didn't remember, but I see we are talking about the same scumbag.

At times it's not to worth debating the fictitious - especially when your hate via hatred and the questions are conspiracy in nature...

This is why I am consistently cruel do democrats and progressives ..... They use their questions to pander to their dumb voters who only vote on hate and self salvation.

This is one grammatically deficient posting you should have run away from.

There is no doubt about that. It seems you don't know what 'paraphrasing' means either.

Your Location is listed in Tennessee, she is located in Louisiana. Get a grip.

And she's not the only birther - we also have them in Tennessee. I know because I made a point of voting in the GOP primary to hopefully unseat one who's a current State Rep. just this week. Get your own grip.

You just used the phrase "If you believe AGW is a threat". The words "If" and "believe" pretty much sums up the connection to religion.

So if we ask a person if they believe terrorists pose a threat to the U.S. that's like religion? Or if they believe higher taxes harm businesses, that's like religion. Of if they believe the free market is good or bad, that's like religion? Etc.

A person evaluates evidence and comes to some conclusion. It can't be PROVED that burning fossil fuels WILL cause warming and catastrophic climate change - it's a belief based on evidence, like all other questions for which there are no absolute answers, which is every question for which there are different views. There is nothing distinguishing any candidate or political philosophy other than beliefs.
