The Actor Donald Sutherland from " Invasion of the Body Snatchers " fame is a huge Lib.

    Just sayin......

Because it would take a insurmountable amount of blind allegiance to a left wing ideology to create a thread like this.

So reporting on a 4% increase on GDP, including with an increase in imports, is an expression of a "left wing ideology?"

Don't you just love how an economy that sucks is reported in the state controlled media?

The significant problem with our economy is that a) not all economic indicators are looked at (only the positive ones) and b) it appears the economy has been fluctuating like a "wave" if you will - it goes up, then down, then up, then down...... Any economist would call that highly unstable even when other factors of the economic formula are completely ignored.

I think it is good news, but the primary worry is the jump in inventory which could indicate a slumping marketplace.

Does the State only have control of it when the Democratic Party is in control??

True, and all administrations tend to ignore the negative and exaggerate the positive.

The GDP number has (apparently) 1.66% in increased inventory.

That is not sales, that is hoped for/anticipated sales.

I believe this puppy is DEFINITELY going to be revised downward - substantially.

Also, I don't think it is good news...I think it gives inaccurate data that drives people and companies to go further into debt on the expectation of a brighter future when the economy is actually stagnating and simply being propped up by the Fed and government spending.

I believe that when the QE is over AND interest rates are no longer 'artificially' suppressed AND the economy does not collapse...then the numbers are good news.

But IMO, that will not happen...I do not believe the U.S. economy can stand on it's own feet without gigantic Fed/government crutches.

The fault...is the crutches which have stagnated the economy and gotten people addicted to cheap debt.

Didn't we have this problem before....hmmm......

I can't answer that, or I'll be dragged in by the NSA.
