Maybe I'm dead wrong that people should have enough snap to figure stuff out.
It was 'figured out' but there was no proof.

Proof is (supposed to be) required before convicting someone.

I disagree...it looks like she elbowed him in the face or chin.

So if a woman slaps you, do you agree with responding immediately with closed fist blows?
No you respond with the same type of hit and force she gave to you, but to stand there and take it is not right.

What Rice did was willful, and in today's society, far more unacceptable than a DWI.
I dunno about that....see how you feel if it's your kid killed. Or mother or brother or....

We all know that drinking and driving kills. It's a willful act to do that.

I see what you're saying but dont necessarily agree with the lack of accountability.

    He was in no danger.

There are many many times when people can back off, not react with force, and a situation will diffuse itself.

As a matter of fact, I bet he wishes he had done just that.....

She could have been drunk. That is the first thing I would have thought of seeing the video for the first time.

Being that he was so strong, why did he drag her out of the elevator instead of carry her out.

I agree with you. A DWI that results in the death of an innocent person in my opinion is willful. It wasn't intentional, but it was most certainly willful.

I bet so to, but I was responding to the question of a woman slapping a man, not this case in particular.

Yes but I think backing off and diffusing is smarter and better. If you're not in danger. Plus if you respond in kind....it escalates. It only ends if, as in the elevator incident....you completely disable them. Is that where you want it to go? Possibly killing them?

Do you want to be 'right' or do you want to stay out of jail and avoid legal fees? (Not to mention that it's better for the relationship...you dont fix anything with violence)

I wish women were taught this.
