More than anything, this demonstrates a general lack of political savvy among the general populace.
Let's go back to the CNN poll that Politico is linking:

There's an obvious partisan divide, with 57% of Republicans but only 35% of independents and 13% of Democrats backing a move to impeach Obama.

"Anti-impeachment sentiment is roughly where it was for past presidents - 67% opposed Bill Clinton's impeachment in September 1998, and 69% opposed impeaching George W. Bush when a few Democrats began talking about it in 2006," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

The beautiful thing about that is that you can tell right wingers you want them to do that and why you want them to do that and they will still do it anyways because they are so ideologically driven.
Just because the democrats went absolutely bat guano crazy and dusted off every extreme left wing proposal on the shelf and passed it or attempted to pass it when they gained control of the white house and both houses of congress in 2008 does not mean that the republicans will do the same. You have to keep in mind that whether or not the republicans take control of the Senate in the coming midterms, the majority of republicans in office will still be RINOS (republicans in name only). It is laughable to suggest that the republicans will end up with radical right wing majorities. However they may mitigate or otherwise undo the unconstitutional healthcare bill known as "obamacare" . Though I do appreciate that so many radical leftwingers now seem to be conceding that the coming midterms will be a disaster for the democrat party and are now just thinking about 2016. Carry on.

Can you even identify any republican in office who is a member of the far right? We are not in the Smoot Hawley era.

This President has been treated differently from the start. It sure seems like the Republicans have forgotten that they have a responsibility to put aside partisanship and continue the affairs of State. In other words they have forgotten that they were elected to govern not tear down the Govt.
You have a very short memory. The democrats did the same only worse against Bush appointees.

As a conservative, I say "Do not impeach Obama". Let him suffer out the remainder of his second term....especially if the republicans gain control of the senate. Even Obama has admitted that with the GOP controlling both house of congress, his last two years in office would be torture.

Attempting to pass a comprehensive immigration bill passing out amnesty for illegal immigration before securing our borders is evil. This administration does not respect the law.

I think impeachment talk is now acceptable. It wasn't even thought of before Nixon and after Nixon resigned it went away until Clinton when the Republicans revived it. I think every president from now on will be threaten with talk of impeachment, this is just the climate of the times in Washington D.C.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

The entire Obama administration is incompetent.

Why were they approved by Congress ? If they didn't approve of Obama's nominations they would have been called racist.
Your viewpoint is laughable. The people you call "incompetent" are incompetent in your eyes because they don't hold your narrow political viewpoint.

Sorry, DHS was established to head-off terrorism, not to keep kids, who surrender to authorities the minute they cross the boarder.

The current head of DHS is Jeh Johnson. The first Sec'y of DHS was Tom Ridge, who raised the alert color every time Bush's poll numbers dropped. He was followed by Michael Chertoff and Janet Napolitano.

Obama's national security adviser is Susan Rice.
Again, they are incompetent in your eyes because they don't hold share your politics. What is ironic is that you denounce Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry when "Mushroom Clouds" Condoleezza Rice -- who hyped invading Iraq -- a country that didn't need to be invaded and Colin L. Powell who told false statements to the U.N. about Iraqi plans that turned out to be 100% wrong -- all while Clinton and Kerry were saying invading Iraq was a bad idea.

Eric Holder is far more appealing than Alberto R. Gonzales, who prosecuted Democratic politicians because they were Democrats and was soft on Republicans. He also fired Assistant Attorney Generals who refused to do his bidding on these matters.

    1. Most of the groups flagged by the IRS for extra scrutiny didn't actually have to apply for tax-exempt status.
    2. Even if the right criteria had been used, 80 percent of the targeted groups would have warranted extra scrutiny.
    3. Those intrusive questions that drew widespread criticism? Some of them are actually on the IRS application form.
    4. Nonconservative groups got extra scrutiny, too. A lot of them.

True, if it was harassment, which it wasn't.
