Politicians were held to a higher standard forty years ago than today.

Today we have a President who refuses to uphold the oath of office he took, is aiding and abetting an invasion from the South and is about to piss on the Constitution again by using an Executive Order to legalize 5 to 6 million illegal alien criminals who are all ready residing with in the USA.

What's so hard for Obama to comprehend ? Congress writes the laws of the land not the President and the Constitution says that the President is required to enforce those laws no matter if he likes them or not.

There is so much of that going on. Republican always thinking the Democrats are bad and Democrats thinking the Republicans are bad. Perhaps even evil instead of bad. This is why when I do my research and numbers game, I tend to discount Republicans and Democrats and look at independents. They are not happy with President Obama only giving him a 37% job approval rating. But Bush the second was at 36% among independents at this juncture of his presidency. But whether one approves or disapproves of the job a president is doing doesn't mean impeachment is warranted.

Actually the Democrats did introduce impeachment articles to the judiciary committee during Bush the second tenure. But that was a far as it got. So far during Obama, that hasn't happened. Yet.

This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

    The House? Try the Senate.

Failing to govern is continuously pointing across the aisle to blame the other party. That's one thing Obama's good at, the blame game. But hey, he doesn't need consensus. He has a pen and he knows how to use it.

WASHINGTON — The United States does not have ambassadors in more than a quarter of the countries in the world, hindering U.S. efforts on issues ranging from counterterrorism work in Africa to the flood of children fleeing Central America for the U.S. border.

The vacancies are driven by the Senate, where President Barack Obama’s nominations for ambassadors are caught in a partisan feud between the Democrats and the Republicans, and by complaints that Obama is nominating an unusually large percentage of political supporters rather than career diplomats.

The president also tapped Colleen Bell, a producer of the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful” who contributed or raised $800,000 for the Obama campaign. She had a less-than stellar appearance before the Foreign Relations Committee on her nomination to be ambassador to Hungary.

“That affects the morale of the professional diplomatic corps,” said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., a Foreign Relations Committee member. “The percentage of politicals is way too high, way too high.”

How apropos, a soap opera producer chosen by Obama to become an ambassador.

But its the Republicans fault.... in the House.

Obama is a second away from official "lame duck" status. He has lost any heart to actually push forward any new policy. Why not just wait it out. Certainly not worth the effort. Let history be his judge.

I wonder if they are as happy to be taking a month-long recess in August as we are to see all of them gone? And if Obama is also on vacation, that's icing on the cake!

    Greetings, Mo.

agreed. Obama should have done more "reaching across the aisle" instead of his method of "give them the middle finger"

The left is merely pushing impeachment fears because they know the democrats in congress are in for a very bad day in the midterm elections in November and they feel that they only way they can inspire the left to come out and vote in large numbers is to make it about fears of impeachment.
Just the opposite. I have heard many say that they want the GOP to win the Senate this fall and go absolutely bat guano crazy with a radical right wing legislative program so Obama can veto it all and be a hero to the middle class setting up a great DEM year in 2016.

The beautiful thing about that is that you can tell right wingers you want them to do that and why you want them to do that and they will still do it anyways because they are so ideologically driven.
