You just keep on re-electing the same incumbents over and over again and we'll see how things progress.

History is proving that's not a good idea, but we'll see.
Meanwhile people in general are getting more and more aggravated and distrusting of our government.

Of course they always try to blame "the other" guys. The one's they didn't vote for. Meanwhile they pressed a lever for some guy who's been in DC for decades and decades and become a millionaire because of it. But hey....he's not the problem, it all the other "crooks" you other people are electing.

It's a vicious circle and the very definition of insanity.

The current two-party system guarantees the insanity will continue.
And the sheeple will continue to repeat their mistakes, and continue to complain and gripe about everything that's wrong.
All the while never looking inward and seeing that they are the problem. They keep putting the same people back in power and expecting different results.
An exact rehashing of your previous posts. Most adults realize that solving complex problems usually entails more than "New People!"

Anyone who thinks the problems we face today are the result of one man, or one party, is simply blind to the overall reality of the last few decades.

We need a paradigm shift in Washington DC.

Simply bouncing back and forth between Dems and Reps isn't going to solve anything, and in fact history is proving to us each day that it's just making things worse.

If you wanna start a witch hunt against one, start it against them all. Otherwise it's just a waste of time, and will solve nothing.
if we want to make the system work better, we need to eliminate gerrymandering nationwide. my own personal opinion is that we should also have a national discussion about eliminating political parties, too, but that one is almost as unlikely to gain any foothold.

Just getting most people to even CONSIDER voting for somebody who is not a Rep or a Dem is like trying to turn sand into diamonds.

I fear nothing is going to change for a looooooooooooooooooong time.

Yes, I read it. Yes, I characterized it accurately. Those Republicans who favor impeachment are nearly twice as many as the percentage of the so called independents you cite. And that is not even getting into the accuracy of the label of "independents".

The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I would have been for impeachment by 2011. However, this is the second term and while Team Obama is taking this impeachment seriously, the way I read this, it's the only way the GOP have even a ghost of a chance at the WH by sowing enough seeds of discredit about the Democrats around.....enough at least to poison the already less than dense American mind into voting for an infinitely less than capable Republican politician.

However now that I mention it, neither party has higher road on this. Cycle 2016 has all the earmarks of an election where you vote for the candidate who will do the least possible damage to this already damaged country.

Politics is already a dystopian occupation.

That has been the modus operandi for the last 4 or 5 elections.

Most people were not voting for the person they felt was the BEST choice.
They were voting for the candidate they feared the least,
Or voting against the candidate they feared the most.

Which is a lose-lose scenario no matter how you look at it.

"They all suck, but dayyyumn - Mr. XXXXX is so frighteningly sucky I guess I have no other choice than to vote for the slightly less sucky Mr. YYYYYY."

The ever increasing radicalization of the right becomes more and more obvious every day and now this poll clearly provides more evidence of the divide in America between the right and everyone else.

65% of Americans reject the political tactic of impeachment but a full one-third of the citizenry are more that willing to go down that road. Nearly one in five simply want to use it to advance their own political objections and need no actual crimes for the process.
I would love to see that clown go down but impeach him for what?

It would be damn near impossible to impeach Obama - the only thing you can get Obama on are is executive orders and possibly charges of conspiracy..

Bill Clinton was easy - he was clearly guilty of perjury.

Obama will never take the stand and his council will blame everyone from the DOJ to Congress to Governors acting on their own...

IMO, right now they have enough evidence to bring the IRS and DOJ down - that is for sure..... If anyone has a half a brain that has powers to impeach the president (congress) then they should tackle the IRS and DOJ first and have them roll on Obama.

Also, I feel sad in a way because our government is almost some sort of organized crime ring like the mafia.

We have a "One-World Government" adherent in charge, and that is causing him problems because we are a Republic with a Constitution, one of the best types of government, when it is adhered to. I think that the people who bought his slogan "Hope and Change" didn't realize what he had in mind, but they are waking up, and they don't like it - hence his drop in popularity and trust in the polls, IMO. Millions of people can't be wrong, and his agenda the correct one - that defies logic and common sense. We don't want an elite dictator ...every country that has one is failing, with the exception of North Korea, and who wants to live like those repressed people do? No one I know, and I know lots of people!

Good morning, Mo. Hope you're having a great weekend!

I would love to see Obama impeached. He's made Nixon look like a saint. But it's just talk, the Republocrats won't actually try to hold accountability because they know that they're guilty of the same and if they open up the can of worms of responsibility; they're all sunk. So don't worry too much, it's just going to be talk and finger pointing.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

In 2007 there was a USA today/Gallup opinion poll in which the question was asked:

36% said yes, impeach Bush, 62% said no. 3% were unsure.

    Bush Administration

In 2006 it was 30% for impeachment to 69 against so it is nothing weird or strange to happen.
And it was a Real Leader, Speaker Pelosi, who unequivocally took the impeachment of GWB off the table. Let's face it, the GOP will never be satisfied with the amount of revenge it exacts over the Nixon impeachment .
