Driver records CHP officer punching woman[W:195]

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

Well call me an idiot - but I don't think anyone needs to get punched in the face 10 times for any reason - male or female.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

See, that's a compromise I'm willing to make.

I believe in jail time for negatively impacting the social good, i.e. the public's opinion of Law Enforcement at large.

The 1st amendment is a bitch, idn't it?

But maybe you should try not reading too much into little, stupid things. :doh

I know. I'm talking Averages.

Well. I can't saying anything about the LAPD, besides the stuff I've seen on the news about them beating the **** out of black and Latino kids. But again, I don't care about the Person, I care about the Average of the Institution itself.

And? I'm talking about how a police officer's racism affects those subject to it and their powers.

Again, I'm speaking on Averages.

Well, geee - I can't believe it took something as simple as mentioning that the opinion of firing a cop was available for you to see that there was a more sensible approach than killing all cops. You can speak in averages as much as you want but your made up averages don't really mean much in terms of demographics. In New York City for example, the police demographics are split pretty evenly between minorities (47%) and white cops (53%). The total police force itself is split So who would you kill in that scenario? Actually, don't answer that. You've previously stated that you yourself are racist so I can guess what your illogical response will be.

I don't read too much into things. I just notice little details about posting styles pretty fast. It seems out of place for a Hispanic supposedly raised in Jersey to use the British colloquialism bloody.

Cheery o' en?

I'm clearly a Brit

And I already told you, you put down an absurdly low price to get the best bargain.

If you run into politics with your highest possible bid, they'll try to get you to lift you up even above that. Ever heard of "Jew me down"?

And yes, you do know my opinion of a national reform that includes all cities.

But honestly, Racism in that public capacity needs to be punished with the greatest truculence available and not to mention an extreme expansion of funds and men available for the IA overall.

And whites are over-represented by ~20% as well

I wouldn't be surprised to be honest. You wouldn't be the first person who used race to make sure people don't question your POV.

Demanding that cops found guilty of abuse be fired is hardly a bad demand. You completely ignore what this would entail. It would mean reforming union rules, changing official procedures and essentially weakening the entire power structure that has been used to protect abuses in the past. And no, I haven't heard of Jew Me Down. I'm waiting to be enlightened.

I actually never heard of Jew Me Down until Frank used it on Shameless when he was trying to pawn his Semi-Son-in-Law's wedding ring xP

"You completely ignore what this would entail. It would mean reforming union rules, changing official procedures and essentially weakening the entire power structure that has been used to protect abuses in the past."

And? The system that is in place is failing us hugely across the board. It needs to be overhauled, from the unions to the procedures.

I mean, at least in New Jersey, when a guy is about to retire from the Police Force he'll get ALL the extra time available, because his ending year's annual pay decides how much he recieves for the entirety of his retirement. So he pulls one full year of extra time, boosts that year's paycheck from the last anywhere from 20-60%, all at the expense of us tax payers that have real jobs.

**** pigs.

Agreed.

But the fact that it was a woman makes it all the more worse.

Even if it's just because of how Obvious the physical differential is in regards to Necessary Force.

But in my opinion the fact that she's a female Does make it all the more worse.

I come from a Beautiful Land where Machismo rejected Female enlistment and the women rose up and argued for the Right to fight against the American backed Terrorists. Doesn't mean I enjoy seeing outsiders force our women to join us in combat, but it does garner a respect that I cannot nor will not refute.

Isn't railing against differing treatment due to race/ethnicity, then accepting and/or advocating differences in treatment due to gender, a double standard?

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

Problems in a bureaucracy start at the top.
 Yeah, because the LAPD is somehow connected to the White House. Get a hold of yourself silly.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

From what I saw, the public's "interest" in safety, and the officer "protecting" that interest was a non-issue once she was on the ground in a defensive posture. I don't know what came before. But he clearly didn't have to use force to that degree to "protect" anything.

That's a crock of !@*#.

There's no way you can say that with any certainty, based on a video that's only a few seconds long.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

He probably was a cop, has some kind of relationship with a cop or has just never run into them or had friends that have had to deal with the ugly side of the institution. That or he's delusional, but... benefit of the doubt?

May I ask how old you are?

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

Just look it up. I've already posted a very few links on the subject, but you can easily find out for yourself whether I'm telling the truth or not.

And generally Sheriffs are more prevalent in larger county areas which tend to be south and are more prone to racism.*edit

In my time in New Jersey I saw very, very few Sheriffs except in the southern, more rural area. I've seen quite a few more in my short time inside of central Virginia.

Though I do want to move to Louisiana for their Stand Your Ground and Castle Laws o/ not to mention open containers are legal

That may explain why you have troubles with cops.

Cops do hassle drunks.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

What? Do you mean most are good? In my own personal Latino experience most of em are pieces of ****. Are you white per chance or have some statistic? Just wondering, personal experience can be misleading.

There are only three letters in PIG not ****.

Ha. Good one.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

I've said it otherwhere's on this board.

But I have a feeling that you're just going to use it as an ad hominen base, so you can find it yourself.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

Ha. Good one.

:2wave:

Please answer the other question. How old are you?

I will tell you why I ask.

I live in Mexico. I have had no problems with cops for the past 15 years, I am 47 and white.

I have a friend that is 29 and very light skinned Mexican. He gets stopped and ticketed about every 2 months for something or another.

I don't know why. Maybe it is that he looks very young or the cars he drives, or the fact that is negative attitude towards cops comes across in the way he drives.

I gave him a car I had been driving for a while. I never got stopped in it even once, but when he was driving it he was stopped three times in 1 month. Why would that be?

Why do you have so many problems with cops if you are not looking for those problems?

Gender crosses racial lines.

Racial lines don't cross gender lines.

We all have different morals, don't we?

I'm talking about American Law Enforcement.

Re: Driver records CHP officer punching woman

It was actually claimed by those responsible that the officer attacked this woman for her safety. And to think people believe that nonsense.

Doesn't seem so extreme now, does it?

:3

There is no difference.

If you look like a troublemaker, you will be hassled.

You are saying you are hassled just because you are latino. Why don't you tell us all the other reasons you have been hassled.

Implying there's no difference between nation's law enforcement?

I think we're done here.

EDIT: We are done here*

You know, I never thought about that...every time I have been ticketed or stopped by a LEO (mostly PA State Troopers, actually), I kinda just assume they have a good reason unless shown otherwise.

This may not be how everyone views cops...:lamo.

Come on think now. There was a question to you in my post. What did you do to get hassled? It doesn't happen to every latino so what was special about you?

I bet it was your appearance or your attitude. If your postings here are any indication of how you interact with cops, I bet it was your attitude that caused the hassle.

By the way I am American and I know a lot about cops as I had lived in LA county for most of my life.

I got stopped a lot for speeding on the highway. I was speeding every time. I got stopped in many different states and I only had on smart ass answer from one cop in Idaho.

When I was 16 on up I purposely drove cars that would not call attention from cops. I had old Cadillacs and an old hearse that I drove for 2 years with tags that were expired 7 years without a second glance in California.

My buddies in school always complained about getting stopped in their Camaros and Mustangs.

Being that we were all the same age, why did they get stopped and I didn't?

I talked my early 20s son into buying a '92 Mercury Marquis. He needed a car and there wasn't much available in his price range. He drove it for a year and a half and afterward admitted he was invisible to the cops.

That is the way to go, however it all depends on how you drive it.

My father bought a new '95 Cadillac STS with the Northstar engine. He left LA and got to Las Vegas in 2.5 hours. He averaged 150 MPH all the way.

On his tail the whole time was a Mercury Grand Marquis doing the same speed. I guess it holds, because they didn't get stopped in their old man cars.
