This may already be up, and I do have some catching up to do later today.
Protesters block buses carrying undocumented immigrants - CNN.com
OK, well, we are beginning to see the civil unrest we all knew would occur in the Obama administration.
Although I have been to the southwest, I have never crossed into Mexico. So, perhaps I am a bit naïve on this technicality. But, someone please tell me how bus loads of these people are crossing our borders. I always thought the ROADS were blocked by border patrol and you had to have documents to pass, and that illegals were sneaking in via places where there were no roads. Perhaps I am wrong. There was a time when a passport was not required in Canada. And if a pass port is not required to enter the US from Mexico, then bus loads CAN be coming in masquerading as tourists.
So, what gives with this? Everyone talks about us needing a 'fence.' If they can cross in buses with no passport, then what good would a fence do? IMO, it would only inconvenience those who use the coyotes to cross rather than loading themselves onto buses.
(CNN) -- A wall of angry protesters blocked three buses of undocumented immigrants in Southern California, forcing them to turn around -- but with no clear final destination.
The immigrants had traveled from south Texas to San Diego and were on their way to be processed at the Murrieta Border Patrol station when the standoff took place Tuesday.
Protesters chanting "USA!" "Impeach Obama!" and "Deport! Deport!" blocked their route. A heated yelling match ensued between the demonstrators and a group of counterprotesters.
After the buses turned around, the 140 people on board were taken to a border station in San Ysidro, said Ron Zermeno of the National Border Patrol Council
Murrieta Police Chief Sean Hadden said he was told to expect 140 immigrants every 72 hours, with the next group scheduled to arrive on Friday. He encouraged the public to attend a town hall meeting Wednesday evening.
