Protesters block buses carrying undocumented immigrants in California

This may already be up, and I do have some catching up to do later today.

(CNN) -- A wall of angry protesters blocked three buses of undocumented immigrants in Southern California, forcing them to turn around -- but with no clear final destination.

The immigrants had traveled from south Texas to San Diego and were on their way to be processed at the Murrieta Border Patrol station when the standoff took place Tuesday.

Protesters chanting "USA!" "Impeach Obama!" and "Deport! Deport!" blocked their route. A heated yelling match ensued between the demonstrators and a group of counterprotesters.

After the buses turned around, the 140 people on board were taken to a border station in San Ysidro, said Ron Zermeno of the National Border Patrol Council
Murrieta Police Chief Sean Hadden said he was told to expect 140 immigrants every 72 hours, with the next group scheduled to arrive on Friday. He encouraged the public to attend a town hall meeting Wednesday evening.

OK, well, we are beginning to see the civil unrest we all knew would occur in the Obama administration.

Although I have been to the southwest, I have never crossed into Mexico. So, perhaps I am a bit naïve on this technicality. But, someone please tell me how bus loads of these people are crossing our borders. I always thought the ROADS were blocked by border patrol and you had to have documents to pass, and that illegals were sneaking in via places where there were no roads. Perhaps I am wrong. There was a time when a passport was not required in Canada. And if a pass port is not required to enter the US from Mexico, then bus loads CAN be coming in masquerading as tourists.

So, what gives with this? Everyone talks about us needing a 'fence.' If they can cross in buses with no passport, then what good would a fence do? IMO, it would only inconvenience those who use the coyotes to cross rather than loading themselves onto buses.

I believe they had already crossed the border as part of the Obama/Progressive Agenda invasion they are orchestrating, and these illegal alien invaders were being shipped to California.

It's great to learn legal citizens are standing up to this effort in this way. Hopefully, the violence the Obama/Progressive Agenda is help bent on creating will be kept in check, and these patriotic protests will send the invaders packing.

I am aware of where this occurred. This story is merely citizens of a town refusing to allow the buses into their town.

BUT my question is: Can they cross the border into the US without a passport. They crossed in buses somewhere. Was it at a regular border patrol station without a passport or visa?

I would like someone to clear this up for me, because if they can this is a MAJOR problem. You can no longer pass back and forth to and from Canada without a passport.

Crossing U.S. Borders | Homeland Security

Mexican Citizens - Mexican citizens including children must present a passport with a nonimmigrant visa or a laser visa border crossing card.

•Document requirements for most Mexican citizens, including children entering the United States, do not change under WHTI. See WHTI Program Background | U.S. Customs and Border Protection for more information.
•US-VISIT biometric procedures may apply to some Mexican citizens. Find out if US-VISIT applies to you.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

My understanding is they crossed on foot. They were collected in Texas, put on buses heading towards California, and stopped by the protestors. I do not believe they boarded buses in Mexico, and then drove across the boarder.

The border between the US and Mexico is 1,989 miles long. How much are Americans willing to spend to make this border impenetrable? Consider a 4 foot fence casts between $2,700-$21,200 for one mile. (source) A 6 foot fence with barbed wire; considerably more.

20 million or so have already violated our borders without documentation, so yes, they can cross without documentation.

And yes, it is a major problem.

And neither would be terribly effective. An unwatched fence is not a barrier.

The most cost effective approach is just to let them in, with conditions. Just as Eisenhower did. Ike didn't simply try a border-block approach. We need High-skilled immigrants as they're proven entrepreneurs and business makers. But we also need low-skilled immigrants.
Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he can sit in a boat, drinking beer all day while you fool around with his Woman.

While a fence is probably never going to work, even if they built a 20 foot fence made of Carbon Fiber, it would be far less than the cost to taxpayers by the millions of illegals who have been encouraged by the Obama Administration and Progressives to come here.
