Obama to take executive action on immigration

WTF?

There was lots of concern. This was a point in our history when the country was cracking down on sexual harassment and fraternization with subordinates in the military. He was the Commander in Chief. Now the lawsuit was valid. Nobody is above the law, and he perjured himself. If he had just come clean, and said, yes, I'm a horndog... all would have been forgiven.

All was forgiven. He remained in office and too many were unconcerned about his sexual prowess in the WH. I don't disagree however that the lawsuit was valid. Just that presidents lie and people die all the time, but no impeachments.

We may as well disband the Border Patrol......all they are doing is changing diapers at this point. Then run ads in all of the Mexican and Central American newspapers saying welcome all......we have eliminated that old evil White man's border......we welcome all of you low-skilled, low IQ brothers and sisters. Our hospital emergency rooms are open to you as a primary care facility.......lots of charitable organizations will provide you with housing and food until you can start popping out those 'U.S. citizen children'........who are the golden key to the country......with them you get food stamps and all sorts of lovely other welfare plans. But, its really important to get a federal Individual Tax Identification Number.......then you can start filing taxes on your 'income', including claiming all of your nieces and nephews back in Guatemala as 'dependents'........so instead of actually paying taxes you get a 'tax credit' back for way more than you ever thought of paying into the system. Your kids get free medical care and so will you if you act really sick......oh, and did I forget the government mandated bi-lingual education provided to your children free of charge......no need for them to ever learn English. Welcome Jesus and Maria to your new life.........all paid for by me.......

Well first, there was no outrage over the Clinton impeachment because of the reason they were trying to impeach him, hardly injurious to national interest, our constitution, etc. as to Obama, his skin color should be irrelevant if he has violated our nations laws and his oath of office.

I agree with you but I think the house shot it's wad with Clinton and nobody has the balls to take on Obama, especially with a democrat senate. That's why Boenhior is half stepping measures by suing him.

Sure as long as we stay weak on the issue and have questionable leadership.

Well it seems we have had "questionable leadership" for around 166 years now... Right?

Wrong. But nice try at going back in time.
Well why hasnt any of those Presidents "sealed up the border" then? It all that stopping them is not being "questionable", why havent they? It wouldnt be because its damn near impossible would it?

Who is president and leadership NOW?
His name is Barack Obama. Dont you know that?

Completely sealing off a 1,933 mile border. Good luck!

The Chinese did it over 2000 years ago.

While you don't need a wall to stop illegal immigration, you do need an actual desire to stop illegal immigration from the federal government.

I know that and he is doing a terrible job.

Well first, it was done centuries ago by people with far less tech, so you shouldn't dismiss it as impossible, secondly, one mustn't go from the extreme of little or no fence to "completely" sealed off, to be effective, much more effective then what we have. And, had the last dozen administrations put the vast amount of money into preventive maintenance that they put into bandaid cures, a secure border would quite possibly be a done deal by now. But as long as big business is against secure borders, and they get a figurative slap on the wrist for hiring illegal immigrants, and both parties pander to big business, there really is little hope of a secure border.

And also using criminal labor, slave labor. And the wall ultimately failed.

We already have a vast fence.

Really? How so. Border patrol budget has constantly been on the rise, and so have immigration and customs enforcement. We are constantly putting more and more money into it. How much is enough?

"....the Great Wall failed to stop enemies, including in 1644 when the Manchu Qing marched through the gates of Shanhai Pass and replaced the most ardent of the wall-building dynasties, the Ming, as rulers of China..... Historians such as Arthur Waldron and Julia Lovell are critical of the whole wall-building exercise in light of its ultimate failure in protecting China; the former compared the Great Wall with the failed Maginot Line of the French in World War II." History of the Great Wall of China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"After a few hundred years, the Xiongnu faded into history and the Great Wall was effective enough to keep random barbarian looters away. But when a real danger arose, the Great Wall was again nothing more than a scarecrow.

Such a situation developed during the late stages of Song Dynasty. The dynasty was politically divided and in a feeble state, and same could have been said about the Great Wall.

At first the land was overrun by Jurchens, who conquered the capital of Song Kaifeng and imprisoned the whole imperial family and its court. This led to the establishment of the Southern Song Dynasty, which was founded by the remains of the imperial court." The failure of the Great Wall | http://gbtimes.com/

At the same time, the Jin Dynasty on the northern border had to hold on against offenses from Mongols led by Genghis Khan. By this time, the Great Wall, built by hundreds of thousands of workers, had collapsed in many places. At some point, Mongols were able to find a part of the wall that they could simply ride over.

And the rest? Mongols overthrew the Jin Dynasty, took control of northern China and soon wiped out all other Chinese dynasties as well. By the year 1271, the Mongol Kublai Khan declared the creation of the Yuan Dynasty, which ruled with a heavy hand over the Chinese until 1368.

What an argument! Who advocated for slave labor? Criminal labor is fine, and used across the country presently. You do know that there are impenetrable sections of fence on the border now don't you?

Securing the border is a pipe dream.

What an argument! Who advocated for slave labor?
Just saying they had a vast amount of free labor at hand. We dont.

Criminal labor is fine, and used across the country presently.
It is and is a highly controversial tactic.

You do know that there are impenetrable sections of fence on the border now don't you?
Yes I do. And you said we dont need to completley seal it off but just parts of it. Dont we already have that now? Dont we already have increasing funding? How much more do we "need"?
