Obama and his administration will do nothing. The Mexican authorities has appoligized. There good to go.:mrgreen:

I wonder, .......... what would happen should we blow the chopper out of the air ...? ... and say "OOPS !! We're sorry"

Thinkin' .. this was a test; for someone other than Mexico.... feel a conspiracy ?.....

An AQ operative acting the crazed Mexican pilot swoops across the border and before the Fed realizes there will not be an apology ... takes out a portion of Ft.Huachuca/Sierra Vista.

This is not the first incursion. Yeah take the apology and pour another cup of coffee.

Don't know for sure, it was in the OP linked article
"The incident occurred after midnight and before 6 a.m. Helicopter flew into the U.S. and fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents. The incident occurred west of the San Miguel Gate on the Tohono O'odham Indian Nation. The agents were unharmed. The helicopter went back into Mexico. Mexico then contacted U.S. authorities and apologized for the incident."

I take most news reporting with a grain of salt.:mrgreen:

Hard to nail it down with any specificity. I think Democrats overall want immigration reform first and foremost because minorities are in their voting wheel house. These are mostly future voters if an amnesty is passed. I don't think Obama can get amnesty passed so, he forces the issue by ignoring immigration laws, second he passes by executive order a way around immigration laws and allows hundreds of thousands maybe millions to cross the border to either force the hand of Congress or if they do not budge, bypass the congress. That may in and of itself be illegal, however someone would have to take the issue to the courts and that would take potentially years int he future while the damage is done in the present.

How this will affect his legacy is unknown. The unintended consequences is always something to be wary of and I'm very sure drug cartels and other unsavory characters are making the trip over in the crowds just like terrorists may be. The threat of disease spreading, costs of local towns and even the states may be stretched. Increases in drug use, violence, rape, terrorism may be in our future because we did not federally apply the law - why that law is not being applied is IMO pure politics. Not sure if you saw this yet:

Pelosi is going to use these people as a backdrop for pictures. She's not going out there because only she wants to... is she going at the direction of the President - maybe.

It sounds like either an accident or carelessness I mean 100 yards while flying isn't that much or they were pressing to see what type of reaction it would cause.

Mexican Helicopter Crosses U.S. Border, Fires on Border Patrol - NBC News

In a brief statement, Customs and Border Protection said that a Mexican helicopter crossed approximately 100 yards north into Arizona on Thursday morning. Two shots were fired from the helicopter, which was on a law enforcement operation.

The official described the rounds as “warning shots,” and said they were fired at two border agents sitting in an unmarked car. When the Mexicans realized what happened, they landed the helicopter and apologized profusely.

No injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation.

US and Mexican border authorities have been working on operations to stem human trafficking, the official said.
