    Her own IRS colleague told Lerner that an audit would be premature. The target hadn't even accepted the misdirected invitation.

    Apparently you don't realize the computer technology at the IRS is from the stone age. They backed up their emails on digital tape and recycled those tapes every six months.

    I'd say it's funny, but it isn't. It's disgraceful and pathetic, and it shows an utter lack of honesty among certain people.

    Stop making excuses, Pete. It doesn't reflect well and you're better than this. And I can assure you if push came to shove, Lois Lerner would sell your ass down the river to advance her own career. You're defending the indefensible, and it looks like nothing but partisanship.
